Chapter 2 After the concert Lucky and Elizabeth left together. They both enjoyed the concert. Sly had surprised them both by singing the song that Lucky had written about Elizabeth. He also told them that they would be recording it for the record. Lucky noticed Liz stiffen as the headed into the park. Lucky: Are you sure you want to go this way Liz? Elizabeth: it is the shortest way. I am not going to let him win by keeping me out of the park. As the walk through the park they hear a low moan coming from the bushes. They head toward the moan and see Robin lying on the ground. They rush toward her. Lucky: ROBIN. (Lucky rushes next to her and knells beside her. He discovers the blood on her shirt.) She has been shot. Call for an ambulance and I will help her. Elizabeth: (After making the call) Be careful Lucky. Lucky: What? Elizabeth: Her blood. She is HIV positive. If her blood mixes with yours… Lucky: The wound is in her chest. If I don't help her then she will die. Elizabeth: I am not saying not help her. Just be careful. That is what she would want. Lucky: I will. (Lucky removes his shirt and uses it to apply pressure to Robin's wound. (As soon as he does that Robin moans in pain.) Robin, its Lucky. Can you hear me? Robin slowly faces Lucky. Robin: (in a weak voice) Lucky? Lucky: It's me. What happened Robin? Robin: Before I tell you I must ask you for a favor. Lucky: What is it? Robin: Take my ring. If I die you must give Stone's ring to Jason. Lucky: Robin you will be fine. Robin: Please don't lie to me. I feel the bullet in me. I know that it is close to my heart. It's only a matter of time before I bleed to death. Lucky: The doctor's could still save you. Robin: They might be able to. But the odds are against it. This ring is very special to me. It must go to Jason and the person who gives it to him must also be special. That is you Lucky. Please do this for me Lucky. Lucky looks at Robin and makes his decision.
