Part 6: Searching Brenda stood there, not sure what she was hearing. Brenda: What a minute, you said our mother? Julia: Well, I mean your mother, my stepmother. Brenda: Oh, right… but she's dead, Julia… she drank herself to death. Julia: No… not according to this source. Brenda stood there, having trouble dealing accepting what she was hearing. Brenda: Okay, you said a man told you this. Who? Julia: His name is Gage Wang. He claims to be a friend of Veronica's and says he knows where she's living. We met in this bar, he overheard me saying my name to the bartender and started asking me if we were related to a Harlan Barret. I said yes and then he told me about Veronica. Brenda: I don't understand… why isn't she dead? Why is she… Julia: Brenda… There is a lot I can not explain. Brenda: How do you know this Wang guy is telling the truth? Julia: Well, I wasn't sure at first. Julia sat on the chair and Brenda on the couch. Julia: Wang gave me all the necessary information to find her. I looked her up and I know he's telling the truth. Brenda: Yeah, or-or-or-or he could have fabricated them… It's not that hard to do. Julia: Brenda, this guy knew things no one else could possibly know. Brenda: Like what? Julia: Just stuff about your mother I remember. Brenda: Like what? Julia: Like… like why he hated her. *^* A woman arrived at the desk of the airport. Woman: Hi, I would like a ticket for the next flight to Port Charles. Clerk: All right, I'll need your name and credit card. The woman put her card on the table. Woman: My name is Blair Quincy. Clerk: Thank you. After a few minutes, the woman got her ticket and went to sit down and wait. She took a picture out of her purse. It was a little girl with beautiful black hair and eyes just like hers. The girl looked a lot like her. She smiled and tears started to slide down her cheeks. She put the picture away and pulled out an old magazine. She started flipping through it and came to an ad for Jacks Cosmetics. There was that same beautiful girl all grown up. Veronica: Oh, my darling Brenda… She was going to see her daughter after so many years. She stuffed the magazine back in and sat back. Damn Gage for telling Julia about her. She could not believe Gage could go and betray her trust like that. Brenda had to be told what happened, had to be warned about why she did what she did. There were so many secrets and so little time to handle them all. *^* Jason held the door opened for Carly as she jumped out. She looked around, wondering where to go. She looked over and saw Lucky, Emily and some other girl standing together. Carly ran over to Lucky. Carly: Lucky! Lucky turned to look at her. Lucky: Carly? Carly: Is Bobbie here, is she hurt? Lucky: Uhh… well, I don't know. If Aunt Bobbie's injured or anything, she would have been transferred to Mercy. That's where they're sending everyone. Carly turned to Jason. Jason: I'll call and see if they've checked her in. Carly: Thank you, Jason… I'm going to look around more. Jason nodded as he got out his cell phone. Emily walked up to him and said, "She's really worried about Bobbie, huh?" Jason nodded. "But I thought she hated her?" Jason: She thought so, too… (Someone picks up on the other end) Hello… Has a Bobbie Spencer been taken over there because of the GH bombing?… Red hair… I'm not sure… thank you. Lucky: Could you find out if my mother or Audrey Hardy has been taken there? Emily: Mom and Dad, too. Jason: Alan and Monica are talking to some police by the entrance. I saw them as we were arriving. Emily: Thanks. Emily rushed off to find her parents. Jason asked about everyone else. Jason:… Thank you for your help. Jason hung up. Lizzie: Well? Jason: Audrey is okay, she's over there volunteering. Lizzie: *sighs in relief* Oh, thank God. Jason: Lucky… a woman identified as your mother is there. She was caught up in the blast, she's hurt pretty bad. Lucky: Oh my God… I have to go there. Lizzie: I'll go with you… I hope we'll be able to get a cab out here… Jason: No, wait. You two can take my limo. I think we're gonna be here for awhile anyway. Lucky: Really? Jason: Yeah. Lucky: Thanks, man. Jason: No problem. Jason went to the car and gave Renaldo orders to get Lucky and Lizzie to Mercy hospital. *^* Helena arrived at Mercy to see Xavior lying in a hospital bed. Strange how he was not hurt as badly as the other in the bed. Helena: Darling, how are you feeling? Xavior: Grandmother… I am feeling like I was before the blast. It did not hurt me as bad. Helena: I will find out you did this and they will pay. Xavior: Right, Grandmother. Whatever you say, Xavior yawned as a doctor came in. Doctor: Mrs. Cassadine, I presume… your grandson needs a lot of rest, it would be wise if you leave. Helena: (sternly) I will not leave Xavior's side. I will not disturb him while he rests, all right, doctor? This lady was sending chills down the doctor's spine. Doctor: *clears throat* All right, as you wish Mrs. Cassadine. The doctor left them alone. *^* Edward entered the living room. Edward: Where is everybody?! Ned was pouring himself a drink, then turned to him. Ned: There's an emergency at the hospital. There was a bombing there the police believe are mob related. Edward: That hoodlum grandson of mine must have something to do with it. Ned: I don't think Jason had anything to do with this. Edward: Please, whenever anything bad happens, you can usually trace it back to that-that delinquent. Lila entered. Lila: Edward, put a sock in it. I am getting very tired of you badmouthing Jason. Edward: But Lila- Lila: Not another word. Edward: Fine… I just hope this crisis ends soon and we can get on with business. Ned shrugged. Another typical day in the Quartermaine mansion. Edward's saying something, Lila tells him to put a sock in it, and Edward starts saying he wants to talk about business… Ned was becoming more and more aware that he was stuck in a rut. Edward: Ned, how's Jakarta working out? Ned: Huh? Edward: Aren't you paying any attention? Ned: Yeah, sorry, the deal with Hemingway is working out fine. Edward: I didn't even say anything about the Hemingway deal, I'm talking about Jakarta. Ned: Oh, right! Business is still recovering for the Cassadine's takeover, but it's not too much further from returning to its normal status. Edward: Good, good, I want you to make some calls to finalize that Hemingway deal. Call A.J. in France, since Hemingway's business partner deals there, maybe A.J. and he can meet. Ned: Fine, I'll do that. Lila: Ned, is something wrong? Ned: No, grandmother, nothing's wrong. Edward: Good, now get to work! Ned made his way to the phone and started making calls. *^* Moreno was in his home after receiving the news of Papolo's death. He was sitting in his chair in the study, taking in the news. Papolo was like a brother to him. His employee stood there, waiting to see what he should do. He knew after giving his boss news like this, there would definitely be an order needing to be carried out. Moreno: Tell Morgan… tell him he better take good care of his woman and child… that it would be a shame if something bad were to happen to them. The man nodded, then left his boss alone, to give Morgan the message.
