Part 9: A Friend Emily wandered around the ER looking for Nikolas. Finally, she noticed him talking to a doctor. As the doctor walked away, she ran up and hugged him. Emily: Nikolas, thank God you're okay! (Pulled back) You are okay, aren't you? Nikolas: I am, Emily. Just a little bump on the head, that's all. Emily: That's it. Nikolas: *smiles* That's it. Emily: *smiles* Good… I was so worried when I found out you were here. Then, the doctor came back. Doctor: Excuse me, young lady, you are not allowed back here. Nikolas: If it's all right, I'd like her to stay. The doctor shrugged. Doctor: Very well, Mister Spencer. We ran some tests… Nikolas: Excuse me, what did you call me? Doctor: Mister Spencer… sorry, I saw you coming in with Luke Spencer. I go to his bar sometimes, I knew he had a son and I just assumed you were him. What is your last name, Nikolas? Nikolas: Uh… Cassadine. Emily touched his arm. Nikolas was not really sure what he was supposed to say. The Doctor scribbled onto his chart. Doctor: Okay, sorry for the mistake, Mister Cassadine. Now, we ran some tests and see no reason for you to stay. You may go home now. Nikolas: Great. Nikolas hopped off the bed. Then, something hit him. Nikolas: Wait, doctor, do you know if a Laura Spencer is here? Doctor: Why, yes, she was brought in quite awhile ago. She suffered from some injuries and… Nikolas: Take me to her. Doctor: All right. *^* (Note: I took a few creative liberties with some of the stuff that happened on P.C. so if it doesn't sound like anything you watched, it's because I changed it.) Lark Madison had finished doing the dishes and was now scrubbing the bathtub clean. An overpowering urge made her clean in hopes that it would somehow make Frank's pain easier. She cared a lot about Frank. He took her in and gave her a home… as strange of home as it was. There was that period where she was really messed up. That whole trying to sleep with Frank thing, then dating Jake and all those times she acted out. She remembered when she ended up on the roof of the Port Charles Hotel, then Frank and Jake talked her down. Lark tried to change since then, but that whiney princess, Julie, sure didn't make it easy. Lark thought wickedly, "Why couldn't it have been that bitch, instead of Joe? At least Joe was good looking and Frank would probably be better off without her." She still couldn't believe it. Joe's dead? Eve told her herself, but it seemed like it was impossible. She smiled for a second, thinking that maybe this was all a ploy to get her to clean the whole house, but Eve wouldn’t lie about something like that. Besides, she heard it on the radio herself. She finished with the bathtub and went downstairs, trying to think of something else she should do. She looked at the clock and decided she better make supper. Lark went into the kitchen and looked in the fridge. The Scanlon fridge wasn't exactly the best source of good food. She decided she better get something from the Recovery Room and heat it up when she got back. She grabbed her coat and left. *^* Julia and Brenda's meeting hadn't lasted all that long. Julia was called away on business and now Brenda was alone. Strange… that's all she ever seemed to be lately. Alone. Now, her dead mother was alive and her sister was in town for a short, short visit. At a time like this, Brenda did the only thing she knew to do… call a friend. She picked up the phone and started to dial Lois' number… *^* Stefan was exhausted as he entered the confinements of Wyndemere. After a long day of being trapped in his office, having to move across the ledge of the building and having to crawl through another open window and run to the fire escape he was very tired. He was glad to at least know, first hand, that Barbara was all right. He could not wait to shower and then relax before he had to take care of all after effects of the hospital exploding and going out of commission. He walked through the conservatory, not paying much attention to his surroundings, when he heard the words, "You look like hell." Stefan stopped in his tracks and looked over in the chair. He was quite shocked at first, but then he smiled. Stefan: Charles… what are you doing here?
