Chapter 12 - "Hint, Hint" Robin and Miranda were in the office drinking alcoholic beverages. Robin had been studying Miranda carefully ever since she got there in a blaze of light. It was certainly the strangest thing to ever occur in her life. Robin had spent hours deciding whether of not Miranda was telling the truth by listening to stories about her dimension. Even though the story sounded convincing, there was just one problem… it's impossible. Robin was starting to feel she had no choice, but to believe her though. She just did. Miranda: So, the netlink my hired computer hackers setup had gotten a lot of information from you. Robin: Oh… such as? Miranda: Well… you’re definitely different from Mac's niece. Robin: Ugh, don't remind me of the runt… If I were there, I'd be beating some sense into that Jason Morgan guy. Don't get me started on that Brenda chick… and Jax… unless it's just for sex, no one should be in a relationship with him. By the way, can I keep this picture of him? I want to see if I can find him here? Maybe I could use his looks to my advantage… Miranda: And if you can't? Robin: I'm sure I could find SOME use for him… Miranda: (laughs) Well, keep it, I'm probably better off without him… I think he deserves better then Brenda though. Robin: Exactly what does he and Brender think they have… some sort of grand romance? Both of them burst out laughing. Miranda: Well, maybe in their heads, but a lot of other people, it's just motion sickness. Robin: Exactly how did you find out about most of the stuff going on in Port Charles? Miranda: How else? I have spies. I hired them when Sonny first took me to Port Charles. I thought if I was going to be hanging around, I'd find out about all the residents who have any significance… listen, I was just wondering… Why do you want the frost mechanics device? Robin looked at Miranda and was very silent. Miranda: Am I intruding on a personal subject? Robin: Yes, but I'll tell you. A few months ago, I was diagnosed with an illness… its called Pa… something or rather, short word is Fire Fever. Miranda: So, you're dying. Robin nods her head. Miranda: So what do you need Frost Mechanics for? Robin: When Scorpion first heard about the negotiations, I had some research done… If used right, there's a 46% chance the machine could preeminently frost the veins. There will be some mutation, but the disease won't be able to kill me… or any disease. I will be immortal. Miranda: Immortal or dead or just messed up for life… Robin, the idea… it's just craz- Robin: Don't say "it's crazy"! I've heard it, and I don't care, I'm trying it. I suppose your plans are so much better… Miranda: Well… my reasons are mostly for my father. Robin: (sounding bitter) Oh, you father… how sweat. Miranda: I'm glad you brought this up, because there is something I need you to do. Robin: What? Miranda: Send people to Greece to retrieve a vital item. ~"~ -[Port Charles: As You Know It]- Helena sat down at a table set for one and began to eat her… (It’s something fancy, okay?). Then, Ari came in and sat across from her. Helena: Hello, Ari. Do you have the information I requested of my daughter? Ari: Yes, Mrs. Cassadine. She is in Port Charles as we speak, in a cliché old, abandoned warehouse. Victor was seen there, escorted by… a man we both know, I don't think we need to mention who. Helena: Of course. Ari: There is an excessive amount of food heading there. There should only be your daughter, him, and Victor there. There was that delivery a few nights ago, people could have been transported in that. Helena: This is making no sense… first she contacts that awful, awful man who should have died in that damn explosion, and now she's getting deliveries and in more contact with Victor then ever before. Ari: What do you think it all means? Helena: I haven't a clue. Ari: Didn't Mr. Cassadine do business with him a long time ago. Helena: Mikkos? I remember the DVX was going to cash in on one of his projects, but that is it. Ari: I think Mr. Cassadine's connection went a little further then that. Helena: Leave me now, Ari. I need to think about this information. ~"~ Lucky was at Ruby's, still in complete confusion. Where was everyone? His father was missing, Lizzie was missing, her sister was missing, and Emily was missing… He remembered earlier, when he was out the Outback where he was supposed to meet Lizzie, Jax was asking Mac about V. Apparently, V. was supposed to give him some files on an old business project she had in her apartment, but failed to meet him. Lucky's instincts were telling him that this was important, but how were V, his father, Lizzie, Emily, and Sarah even connected? He knew V. Ardanowski was an ex-trooper who helped Sonny in Tiger Key, but that was it. Just then, Nikolas walked in. Lucky was going to ignore him, but the Cassadine sat across from him. Nikolas: Hey, Lucky, I need your help. Lucky almost died of shock hearing that. Lucky: Excuse me? Nikolas: I need to find Sarah, talk to her, but I heard she disappeared. Lucky: Yes, a lot of people are missing. Nikolas: Like who? Lucky looked at Nikolas, unsure if he should trust his brother, but he wouldn't get anywhere if he didn't tell Nikolas… he could become useful. Lucky: Dad, Lizzie, Emily and some V. Ardanowski. They all just disappeared without a trace, I'm not sure if V. is related to this, though. Nikolas: Hmm… I think I've seen V. before. Trooper, right? Lucky: Yeah, something like that. Nikolas: You have any idea what is going on? Lucky: Absolutely none. ~"~ -[Port Charles: Dreamscape]- Frisco was sitting in his brother's living room, alone. His brother was at some meeting, who knew where Alexis was… His cell phone rang in his duffel bag. Frisco ran into the guestroom to retrieve it and answered, "Hello?" Doc: Hello, Frisco. Frisco: Doc! How are you doing? Find anything interesting while I've been away? Doc: Why, yes, as matter of fact… We had an interesting finding in Greece. Frisco: Oh really, what is this interesting finding? Doc: You know that old legend about King Tut's gem? Frisco: Oh, right. I've heard about that. Some guy stole his most expensive treasure and took off for Greece and planted it there. Doc: Right, good to know you're paying attention. Frisco: Anyway, what was so interesting? You didn't actually find it- Doc: No, but something a little more crucial. Frisco: Such as? Doc: I had a diving team sent down to a possible location of the jewel and when they came up… well, it was very- Frisco: Doc, SPIT IT OUT ALREADY! Doc: Ice. Frisco: Ice? What's so magnificent about ice? Doc: There were two human beings frozen inside of a very odd ice structure… Frisco: What was so odd about it? Doc: It was the ice itself. It was carbonated… the weirdest part was the human being inside. Frisco: What? Doc: They're still alive.
