Chapter 2

Lee entered the house slowly, glancing around, expecting the worst, she didn't 
get it.  No instead she got Alexis walking down the stairs and reading some 
reports, then suddenly she looked up and saw Lee standing at the bottom of the 
stairs, she forgot all about the reports and ran down the stairs and engulfed 
Lee in a monster bear hug.

L: Hey Lexis, I mean Auntie Tash.

A: Oh I never thought… I mean… Oh look at me fumbling for words. It's just been 
so long, I was beginning to think I'd never see you again.

L: I've missed you too Lexis.  Where is he?

N: He's going to be upset.

L: I know.

A: Let me take you to him, he's missed you dearly.

L: I've missed him more than you could imagine.  Now let's go before I lose my 
nerve.

Alexis leads Lee to Stefan's study and then leaves.  Lee knocks, Stefan says 
"Come in," she enters but he does not look up.  He starts speaking

S: Alexis, do you have the reports with you.

L: Daddy, it's not Alexis.

His head jerks up, he sees his little princess, joy washes over him, he gets up 
and hugs his daughter before he can even think.

S: Listo, why are you here?

L: Because I've missed my family, you weren't supposed to be here for so long.

S: I know, but Nikolas wished to remain close to his little sister and 
grandmother. 

As he says grandmother, Lee flinches, it brings him back to reality and the 
problem facing them.

S: I know.

L: She was supposed to die, Rory told me she was going to die.

S: Helena is a master of illusions.  You'll never be safe from her until she's 
dead.

L: I don't want to hide anymore.

S: Has anyone seen you?

L: Well yeah Dad, but I only talked to one person.

S: Who was it?

L: Some lady at the nurse's station.

S(frowning): What did she look like?

L: Short, skinny, had blonde hair and wore too much makeup.

S(shaking his head): That's Amy, by now everyone knows your name and that you 
were looking for me.

L(smiling): Oops.

S: Nikolas told you about her, didn't he?

L: Maybe he might have mentioned her.

S: You don't leave anything to chance do you?

L: Never, but you know that since you were the one who taught me that.

S: I suppose I did.

L: I've missed you Dad.

S: I've missed you too Princess.  Now tell me do you wish to eat in or dine out.

L: Let's go out, I want to see more of the town that has lured my entire family 
away from me.

S: Let's go then.

L(smiling): Okay.
