Chapter 13

She had to be lying… Lucky a Cassadine? Luke snorted. Of course not. Lucky was 
full-blown Spencer. Always and Forever. He looked up and noticed Liz for the 
first time. He smiled at her. 

Luke: "Thanks, Liz." 

Liz: "No problem… Um… Do you know if what Helena is saying is true?" 

Luke hung his head and sighed. 

Luke: "Hell no… it can't be… Lucky is my son…" 

Luke decided he had to see Lucky and left Liz without a goodbye.

Lucky stirred in his sleep remembering last night. 

*******Flashback********* 

Helena: "I know you can hear me Lucas, the drug I gave you didn't knock you out… 
just made you disoriented… so I am just going to talk. You are not Luke's son. 
You are Stavros' son. My grandson and the true heir to the Cassadine fortune. 
I've should have known all along. You have your father’s good looks, not that 
Luke's. You’re also smart and talented." 

Lucky: (slurred)"What… what about… Nik… Nikolas?" 

Helena smiled. 

Helena: "Nikolas is Stefan's son. He is a Cassadine… a bastard Cassadine… but 
not the heir. After Nikolas was born, and Laura was still on the island before 
she escaped, Laura once again got pregnant, but hid it. When she reunited with 
Luke, they have made love several times, she said that you were his child. Your 
mother has lied to you yet again, Lucas. It's all lies. I would never lie to you 
Lucas, Never…" 

Helena patted Lucky on the head and walked out of the room. 

***********Reality*********** 

The drugs Helena gave him were wearing off, and he was beginning to think more 
clearly. Stavros was his father? 'Just more lies' his subconscious told him. 
Lucky grimaced. He didn't know what was the truth anymore.

Luke walked into Lucky's room and stared at him for a long time, glad to see he 
was ok. He sat down in the chair and sighed. 

Luke: "I'm so sorry cowboy… I'm so sorry this had to happen to you. Just more 
lies right? I'm beginning to think everything is a lie too… But you’re my son. 
You have to be." 

Laura paused outside of Lucky's door when she heard those words. She gasped and 
almost fell over. Did Luke know? Did Lucky know? There was only one way to find 
out.
