Chapter 17

Lucky: "What do you mean no?"

Liz sighed and walked over to him.

Liz: "I'm not sure you’re well yet, let alone ready to leave the hospital." 

Lucky laughed and took her face in his hands.

Lucky: "I'm fine. I just want to be with you." 

Liz smiled and grabbed his hand as they walked out of the hospital.

Audrey Hardy picked up the phone just as her granddaughter walked into the 
house.

Audrey: "Yes, I'll be right there." She hung up the phone. "Elizabeth, I'm going 
to have to leave for the night, will you be ok here by yourself?" Liz smiled.

Liz: "Of course Gram, I'll see you tomorrow then."

Audrey smiled and left the house. As soon as the door shut she ran up to her 
room and opened the window. Lucky climbed in and smiled. 

Liz: "Looks like we got tonight to ourselves."

Lucky raised his eyebrows.

Lucky: "And what should we do?"

Liz: "Oh… eat, play monopoly, make love…"

Laura: "What do you mean Luke…"

Luke: (yelling) "IS LUCKY MINE OR STAVROS'?? 

Laura shuddered at his yell and took a deep breath.

Laura: (whispering) "I don't know."

Luke turned around to look at her, his eyes full of anger and fear.

Luke: "You don't know?"

Laura: "No."

Luke: "But your not denying that Lucky could be Stavros'?"

Laura: "No I'm not. We did have sex, Luke." 

Luke turned around in disgust. He didn't want to think of that.
