Chapter 20--Part Two 

Stefan took a deep breath before he continued. 

Stefan: “Because Lucky could be my son too.” 

Luke stared at Stefan with a blank look on his face. He didn't move or speak. 
Just stared. 

Luke: (Low, growling voice) “Get Out.” 

Stefan nodded, knowing when it was time to leave but started talking before 
walking out. 

Stefan: “And if he is my son… he will be with me.”

The ambulance pulled up to GH in a short amount of time, but it seemed like 
eternity to Liz. The paramedics wheeled Lucky into Emergency and Liz stumbled 
after them. She stopped short and sighed, knowing she wouldn't be able to see 
him for a while. She looked around her surroundings and noticed people looking 
at her. She brought a hand up to her hair and straightened it. She looked down 
at her shirt and realized she had some of Lucky's blood on it. 

She sighed and walked over to the phone. Laura had to know.

Laura: “Lied about what…” 

Nikolas: (shouting) “Don’t'!! You KNOW what you lied about!” 

Nikolas blinked back tears as he looked at his mother, and for the first time 
felt pure hatred. She lied to him yet again. 

Nikolas: “Why didn't you tell me?” 

The tears are falling freely down his face now and he lets out a sob that sounds 
more like a frightened animal. He leans against the wall and cries harder. 

Laura moves closer to him but Nikolas holds his hands out. 

Nikolas: “Don't ever touch me. Don't ever come near me…” 

His words were cut off by the shrill noise of the phone.

Helena smiled at her computer screen. Everything was working perfectly. The heir 
would soon be hers.
