Castle Howard - the setting for Brideshead


Castle Howard 		Castle Howard in York was the main set of Brideshead. Here was where the majority of the story was set, and you can see the outside clearly in the hunting scene. It has 1000 acres of lawns, woodlanes and rose gardens, and the house itself is set between two lakes. Designed in 1699, it is now only used as a conference venue, which is a pity.
