RICHARDS HOUSE: Annie told Caitlin that while Francesca wasn't the blackmailer, she was up to something and should be watched. We found out that Gregory has been practicing Caitlin's handwriting, and that he forged a note to Cole from Caitlin. Gregory called Annie and Caitlin again, promising to stop taunting them if Caitlin will bring the million dollars to the alley behind the Deep -- alone. Caitlin left for the Deep, thinking that Annie would be right behind her, but Gregory intercepted Annie and took her up to Trey's room. He left the note in Caitlin's handwriting on the table. In Trey's room, Gregory told Annie that he wants to be a father again. He told her how powerful the experience of parenthood is, and how much he misses it since Olivia lost their baby. Annie said that if he wanted a baby, she wanted one, too. He asked how she got the impression that he wanted a baby with her. Gregory told Annie that he knew that Trey is his son -- and he wanted him back.
VANESSA & MICHAEL'S APARTMENT: After talking to the doctor again, Vanessa decided that she needed to tell Michael the truth. However, once Michael told Vanessa that Ben and Meg had broken up, they were reminded how fragile relationships can be.
SOUTH BAY GENERAL: When Ben came to see Maria, she said that she knew that Meg didn't stay with him the previous night, because when she called him, he didn't answer the phone with the word "hello," he answered with the word "Meg." Dr. Estrada released Maria from the hospital. Maria told Ben that he should look for Meg, but he insisted that he'd take her home first, and that she could stay at his place for now.
SURF CENTRAL: Sara was surprised when she saw Meg there in Casey's T-shirt. Meg told Sara that she's moved out until Ben can promise her that he doesn't have romantic feelings for Maria anymore. Then Meg told her sister that she never wanted to see her again. Casey escorted her out, and she asked him to leave with her to talk about the problems they're having. Meg told Vanessa that telling Ben the way she really felt might be the worst thing she could have done.
THE BEACH: Sara asked Casey if it was over between them, and he replied that he couldn't make any decisions about them until he's seen Meg through her current crisis.
OUTSIDE: Cole drove to the edge of a cliff and, dangling Francesca above the rocks, threatened to kill her if she doesn't leave Caitlin alone. He said that the next time Francesca "forces" him to do something like that, he might let her fall off the cliff.
INN AT SUNSET BEACH: After returning home, Francesca said that she won't need to break up Cole and Caitlin -- Caitlin's secret will do it for her. She had tapped Gregory's phone lines and listened to a phone call that was taped while she and Cole were out. She stated that now she knew how to break up Caitlin and Cole.
SURF CENTRAL: Michael arrived and noticed that something was bothering Vanessa. He asks her what's wrong, and Virginia eavesdropped while Vanessa chickened out of telling Michael, so she interrupted them to tell Michael something about Vanessa.
SOUTH BAY GENERAL: Meg came to see Maria.
THE ALLEY BEHIND THE DEEP: Caitlin arrived with the money, but there was no blackmailer. She wondered how she'd explain it to Cole that she had a briefcase full of cash with her in an alley.
RICHARDS HOUSE: Returning from threatening Francesca's life, Cole found the forged note that Gregory left.
