FRIDAY OCTOBER 2, 1998

THE MARINA: Maria wondered why she had come to the Marina. Her drowning memories became stronger when she saw the Mariah.

Jimmy told Antonio about a man who offered to take their boys' club on a fishing trip to Catalina. Antonio said that he'd talk to him after Ben and Meg's wedding. Antonio remembered Maria's wedding day and his promise to her to find a woman who makes him as happy as Ben makes her. Then Antonio saw a drunken Quint, who called him a traitor for performing Ben and Meg's wedding. Later, Maria literally bumped into Quint. When he blurted out that she's dead, she realized that he recognized her. When she couldn't identify him, Quint panicked and told her that he'd go get someone who could help her.

CUMMINGS HOUSE: Carmen declared that the pearl necklace breaking was a sign that Ben and Meg's marriage was not meant to be. A fuming Ben told Carmen that she won't stop their wedding, to which she replied that she won't stop it, he will. Meg told Carmen that she knew that she thought that she was telling the truth, but that she knew that she and Ben are meant to be together. Ben took Carmen out of the house with him.

SAINT JOSEPH'S: Ricardo told Gabi that he's worried about Antonio's reluctance to spend time with him. Gabi reassured him Antonio would tell them what was wrong when he was ready to. After Ricardo excused himself to visit Carmen, Antonio arrived. When Gabi stuck herself with a pin, Antonio used searching for a Band-Aid as an excuse to escape from her, which made her realize that she's the one that Antonio has been avoiding.

CEDAR OAKS: A frantic Annie and Tim went to look for Maria.

SURF CENTRAL: Michael returned home, but before he could get upstairs to Vanessa, he was delayed by Jimmy telling him about basketball practice. Later, Michael walked in on Virginia just as she was getting the turkey baster ready. Michael asked Virginia to leave so that he and Vanessa could spend some time alone, so she had to leave the turkey baster behind.

Virginia toyed briefly with the idea of telling Michael and Vanessa the truth, but she decided that she should just try to get the baster out of the bedroom and try again later. Michael and Vanessa came downstairs, and Vanessa left to get some coffee, because she was feeling groggy. Michael told Virginia that he planned to propose to Vanessa that night. Virginia went back upstairs and found that the baster was fine.

MADAME CARMEN'S SHOP: Despite Ben's attempts to stop her, Carmen wouldn't stop talking about how Maria's still alive. Ricardo arrived just as Ben lost his temper. Ricardo interrupted Ben in the middle of his tirade, so Ben told him what Carmen said to Meg. After Ben left, Ricardo pleaded for his mother to listen to reason about Ben and Meg's wedding. Ricardo then left to get ready for the wedding. Vowing that Ben and Meg won't get married, Carmen pulled a gun from a drawer.

CUMMINGS HOUSE: Hank went to get the pearls restrung. Meanwhile, Sara comforted her older sister, telling her that she'll have the wedding of her dreams, and a marriage that will last her whole life. Sara opened the door to encourage air circulation, and Tim and Annie, who were lurking outside, heard Meg asking why they just couldn't let Maria stay dead. Annie blurted out that Maria's still alive and that Meg's going to have to live with the consequences. When it became obvious that Meg wasn't aware that Maria really is alive, Tim thought quickly and accused Annie of trying to cause trouble when he brought her there to make peace. Tim and Annie left to look for Maria elsewhere.

When Joan started to panic, Sara reassured her that this would be nothing like Meg and Tim's wedding, because the groom hasn't been having an affair with the maid of honor, for one thing. Sara and Joan reassured themselves that Ben and Meg are meant to be.

Meg admitted to Sara that she thought that Carmen and Annie were passing judgment on her when they said that Ben belongs with Maria and not with her. Sara reassured Meg that that's not true. Sara, Meg and Joan left for the church.

CEDAR OAKS: Tim and Annie argued about Maria's whereabouts. During their dispute, a man in a white uniform came by and announced that he knows where "Dana" is.

BEN'S HOUSE: Ben was just about to leave for the church when Quint arrived, declaring that Maria is still alive!
