JAVA WEB: Melinda dodged Sara's attempts to get her to confess. Sara told her that she was tempted to take her up on her offer. Melinda vowed to tell Sara everything once she promised to help her with her book -- in writing. When Sara agreed to sign whatever Melinda's lawyer would draft, Melinda hugged her and felt the bulge of the transmitter. She pulled out the transmitter and dumped it into a cup of coffee. Then she confessed to everything, and gloated about how, once again, she won, and Sara lost.
After Melinda hobbled out, Casey arrived. Sara told him that she blew it, and Casey pulled a tape recorder out of his pocket, which had Melinda confessing on it. He told Sara that he planted an extra microphone -- in the cherry, which topped Melinda's ice cream sundae! -- just in case. Casey told Sara that she's finally free, and that she can do anything she wants with her life.
INN AT SUNSET BEACH: Caitlin suggested that she and Cole take Trey to the grotto for a picnic, but Cole told her that he had been called in to work. Caitlin confessed that she found out that Francesca's been calling him. She went on to admit her visit to the mission to explain that Cole didn't want anything more to do with Francesca, and she told him that Francesca wants Cole back. She apologized for keeping this from him. As he left, Cole reassured Caitlin that there has been nothing going on between him and Francesca, and there never will be. Later, Caitlin decided to take lunch to Cole, so she called the construction site. They informed her that Cole wasn't scheduled to work at all that day.
OLIVIA'S HOUSE: Bernie Nielsen told Olivia that seven emeralds were stolen from his safe, and that he thought that she knew where they went. He told her that he knew that Cole used to be a jewel thief, and that she was in his bedroom with Cole during the party. He offered her a reward for the return of the emeralds. Olivia asked Bernie why he didn't call the police. He responded that he can't call the police, and that if he doesn't get them back, she'll be very, very sorry, which clued Olivia in to the fact that Francesca and Cole have only been stealing gems that have already been stolen.
Since Bernie can't call the police, Olivia despaired of ever getting Caitlin to see Cole as she wanted her to see him, but things started to look up when Caitlin arrived in tears. Olivia tried to persuade Caitlin to tell her what happened, but Caitlin denied that anything was wrong and left. Olivia rejoiced about Caitlin's doubts about Cole. She decided that she needed to get Caitlin to see exactly what Cole has been doing with Francesca.
SEA BREEZE MOTEL: Francesca contemplated her plan to get the sapphires that she needs. Cole asked Francesca why she stole the emeralds, since she seemed to have no interest in fencing them. She responded that she doesn't have any plans for the emeralds besides bankrolling her future.
ST. JOSEPH'S: Antonio continued to be plagued by his dreams of Gabi, and prayed for help in resisting the temptation. He was rattled when Gabi showed up, and she sensed something was up. Ricardo and Gabi tried to persuade Antonio to go to lunch with them, which made him lose his temper. He apologized for blowing up at them, and Gabi reminded him that she'd always be there for him. After they left, Antonio struggled with the realization that he has feelings for Gabi and had a dream about kissing her.
THE BEACH: Gabi thanked Ricardo for agreeing to attend Ben and Meg's wedding.
HILLARY'S HOUSE: Cole posed as a phone company employee, but Hillary wouldn't let him into the house. He told Francesca that they'd have to come back later, but Francesca insisted that she had to have the sapphires that night. Cole finally said that if Francesca wanted those jewels, specifically, so badly, he'd get them for her, but that he'd do it his way. They got into the house, and she told him where to find the sapphires. They were about to go upstairs, when Francesca started to hear some sort of mysterious chanting.
