THE PIER: Cole didn't believe that Amy threw the emerald into the water and tried to convince her to give it to him. When he finally persuaded Amy to give him the box, the emerald was missing. Amy realized that Brad probably pawned the emerald. They headed to Brad's favorite pawnshop.
SURF CENTRAL: After Antonio left, Jimmy told Virginia how they found the statue inside a crate. They saw the scorpion come out of the statue's mouth. Virginia killed the scorpion and then, fearing that it might have more scorpions inside, took the statue away.
THE PIER: Antonio and Jimmy bumped into each other. Jimmy told Antonio about the scorpion and how he found the statue in a crate with a rose on it. Antonio realized that Jimmy's statue is the Madonna and that they didn't have a second to lose.
SURF CENTRAL: When Antonio and Jimmy arrived home, Virginia told them that she took the statue to the scrap yard.
OLIVIA'S HOUSE: Emily and Sean told Bette that Amy switched the emeralds. Bette told them that the emerald might have something to do with Emily's blindness. Emily started to go deaf. By the time Tyus arrived to examine her, Emily's hearing had come back, but she was starting to age.
BEN'S HOUSE: While looking through Maria's suitcase, Ben found the videotape and the file she got from Pete. Maria admitted that she was lying, and Meg let her have it for what she put Ben through. Meg called Dr. Estrada to tell her that Maria hasn't gotten her memory back. Ben tried to explain to Maria that she still wasn't acting like her old self. However, he told Maria that putting others before herself is how the Maria that he remembers would behave. Ben caught Meg watching the tape of Ben giving the house to Maria. She apologized for watching it, and he said that she shouldn't be watching it because it was upsetting to her.
PAWNSHOP: Cole and Amy caught up to Brad, who was covered in leeches.
POWER PLANT: Annie and Caitlin were tormented by repetitive laughter that turned out to be coming from tape recorders hidden all over the power plant. Annie realized that the caller was just playing with their minds. When Caitlin begged for mercy, the caller gave them more time to get the money together. Annie and Caitlin resolved to get the money as soon as they could and they left. We saw the face of their tormentor: it's Gregory!
