SHOCK WAVE: Sara found out what Casey meant when he said that they would still make it to Palm Springs; he intended to borrow Hank's car. Brad, who was working off the damage caused by the sprinklers the night that Amy set them off, told them that Hank and Joan were running errands. Just as Sara was about to confess to stealing the distributor cap, Casey admitted that he had wanted to get away to spend some time alone with her in Palm Springs. Sara was about to come clean again, but Brad interrupted with news of the collapse of the building. Casey rushed off to help.
THE ROAD TO PALM SPRINGS: While she was unconscious from the accident, Meg had a nightmare about watching Ben and Maria kissing and hearing Ben say that he has never loved another woman the way he loves Maria. She regained consciousness and found that her car wouldn't start. She couldn't call for help because the battery of her cell phone was dead.
LE JARDIN: Maria asked Ben to make love to her. He admitted that he felt for a moment the way he had in the past about her, but that his feelings for Meg were getting in the way. He stepped out for a bottle of wine.
THE PIER: Vanessa went into early labor. After calling for an ambulance, Michael calmed her down and told her that he knew that it's his baby. Vanessa told Michael about Virginia raping her. Just as Virginia sneaked away, Vanessa's condition worsened again, so Michael couldn't go after Virginia. The paramedics came to take Vanessa to the hospital.
THE RESORT: When Hank and Joan saw the emergency vehicles, they stopped by to help. Ricardo told them that Antonio and Gabi were trapped in the building. Casey arrived later and the three men (Casey, Hank and Ricardo) examined the blueprints of the building to see if they could find something that the firemen missed. Ricardo said that he might have found another way into the building.
IN THE RUBBLE: Gabi thought that God was punishing them for their feelings with the explosion. Antonio explained that God wasn't responsible for the explosion -- Gerard was. Antonio said that he became a priest because helping others helped him get over Maria's death. After their air supply was cut off, she told him that she loves him because he has always seen her as the person she wants to be, and that she has never seen him as a priest. He said that he has failed as a priest, first in Rosario then in Sunset Beach, and she reassured him that he didn't fail. When they realized that they both thought they were going to die, they kissed.
SOUTH BAY GENERAL: They brought Vanessa in. Another doctor took over from Tyus because the hospital had a policy against doctors working with family members and there was a chance that Tyus was the father of the baby. Tyus blamed Vanessa's condition on Michael. Michael confronted Virginia about her rape of Vanessa. She denied it, but he didn't believe her. Vanessa lost the baby and Michael went to comfort her. Virginia offered words of commiseration to Tyus.
THE ROAD TO PALM SPRINGS: Someone stopped to rescue Meg. It was Ben!
