A FRIEND INDEED: Casey gave the trainees their instructions for the recertification exam, telling them that if they miss their turn, there will be no second chances. When Emily saw that her turn was the next day, she left with Sean. Amy decided that she needed to earn a few more points with Sean, so she moved Emily's name to that day so that she could point out to Emily that she was about to miss her test and save her from getting dropped from the program. At Shock Wave, Amy told Emily that she heard Casey calling her name, but Emily didn't believe her. Sean prevailed upon Emily to go to the beach with him just to check to see if Amy was right. Emily, Sean and Amy arrived back on the beach just as Casey called Emily's name.
VANESSA & MICHAEL'S APARTMENT: Vanessa tried to reason with Michael not to leave, but he insisted that there was nothing she could say that would change his mind. Vanessa told him to leave. She maintained that if they love each other enough, they can get through anything. Just as Michael was about to make up with Vanessa, Tyus arrived. Michael admitted that he was about to forget how complicated this situation was. She left, and Tyus followed her. Later, Tyus told Vanessa that their only concern should be for the baby.
FLORENCE'S APARTMENT: Cole arrived to see Florence, who answered the door in a negligee. It turned out that Florence thought that Cole was a masseur. He gave her a massage and pumped her for information. When the real masseur arrived, Cole got rid of him. Florence told him that she got a "golden parachute" because she knew too much. Florence fell asleep, and Cole took the opportunity to find Dr. Brock's address in her address book.
SOUTH BAY GENERAL: Olivia asked where Trey was, and Gregory responded that Trey was downstairs in daycare. They stepped out into the hallway, where he told her that they were testing Trey to see if his ear infection was getting worse. The doctor backed up Gregory's story. While the doctor was out of the room talking to Gregory and Olivia, Russell and Annie got to work. When they returned to the room, the doctor told Gregory that Trey can't possibly be his son. Gregory vowed that Cole was not going to have Trey. Annie wanted to find out who the baby's father is, but accidentally cut her own finger and smeared her own blood into the sample. Russell told Annie that if she doesn't call him for their date soon, he'll call Gregory.
RICHARDS HOUSE: Gregory had a fantasy of Olivia and Cole laughing at him for thinking that Trey was his son. Olivia arrived with Trey. Gregory told Olivia that he knew what she did.
DR. GREEN'S OFFICE: Virginia told Dr. Green to induce labor early so that Vanessa will continue to think that Tyus is the father of her baby. Dr. Green explained that it would be too risky to induce labor early, and Virginia realized that if something happened to the baby, Michael and Vanessa might get back together.
SOMETHING ROTTEN IN SUNSET BEACH: At Vanessa and Michael's apartment, Michael noticed that the stamp on the letter from Dr. Green wasn't canceled, and that the envelope hadn't been sealed shut. Michael arrived at Dr. Green's office to ask him about the letter and overheard Virginia lecturing him. Michael hid so that she didn't see him when she left. Michael realized that things didn't add up.
A SEEDY HOTEL: Cole arrived to see Dr. Brock.
