THE PARTY: AJ wanted to know what Francesca's relationship was with
Cole. She denied that she had one. Gregory came over and made a
comment that Francesca couldn't seem to stay away from the Deschanel
men. Bette broke up the little party, and insisted on having a picture of
Bette, AJ, Gregory and Francesca taken for the paper. She made
Francesca put her purse down, not to spoil the shot.
Cole offered to let Olivia search him to prove that he didn't have any jewels
on him. Although she found no jewels on him, Olivia didn't believe that Cole
wasn't robbing the safe. She declared that she intended to discredit him in
the eyes of Caitlin. He kissed her, and told her that this was about the two
of them. Cole and Olivia argued about whether she has feelings for him.
Cole commented that he has noticed Olivia's envy when she holds his son,
she snapped that he's her son. He wrote this off as evidence that she was
still more hurt by her miscarriage than she lets on.
Bette was disgusted when the spotted the infamous Bob Blythe, but she was
determined to try to get a story out of him. She went to speak to him and
have a picture taken for the paper. Bob's wife, Carolyn, remarked that the
voters know that Bob gets the job done, and don't listen to sleazy rumors.
When Bette mentioned Sara, Bob claimed that he never got to know her
that well. Later, Bette noticed that Gregory was dateless, and needled him
about his marital problems.
Bob took Gregory aside and they discussed Sara. He thanked Gregory for
his help. Gregory said that soon the perjury charges against Sara will be
dropped, and the whole mess will blow over.
Gregory caught Cole and Olivia together in the bedroom. After Olivia left,
Gregory demanded to know why Cole was at the party with Francesca
when Caitlin and Trey were in San Diego.
CUMMINGS HOUSE: Sara and Casey were about to kiss, but Hank
and Joan interrupted them. They broke the news to Hank and Joan about
what Melinda was up to now. Hank and Joan blamed all of Sara's problems
on Bob Blythe.
After Hank and Joan leave for the waffle shop, Sara asked Casey to leave,
telling him that she needed to be alone. He said that if she needed someone,
he'd be there for her. Later, Sara was shocked when Bob Blythe came to
see her.
RICARDO'S APARTMENT: Ricardo asked Gabi to stay the night. She
replied that as much as she wants to make love with him, she wants even
more to take things slowly.
SURF CENTRAL: Antonio had difficulty getting to sleep after his latest
dream, so he went out for a run. When he returned, Gabi came home and
caught him shirtless in the living room. After a moment's uncomfortable
silence, Antonio asked Gabi about her date. When she commented that
Ricardo is sexy, she apologized, saying that she forgot sometimes that he
was a priest. Later, Ricardo and Gabi spoke on the phone, and admitted
they were thinking of one another.
After Antonio went back to bed, Francesca sneaked up to his bedroom.
Francesca looked at pictures of the statue that she and Phillip stole. When
Antonio called out in his sleep, Gabi came to check on him.
