THURSDAY APRIL 1, 1999

SUNSET BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT: When Ricardo asked Gabi why she hadn't mentioned speaking to Francesca, Gabi swore that she hadn't spoken to Francesca. Ricardo persisted with the question. Finally, Antonio claimed that he, not Gabi, was the one who had talked to Francesca.

OUTSIDE: Sean told Caitlin that they both knew that Olivia wasn't the person who killed Francesca. Caitlin replied that Olivia wanted to keep her from ever seeing Trey again.

OLIVIA'S HOUSE: Bette asked Olivia how she could take Trey from Caitlin after letting Caitlin have Trey for so long. Ricardo came to talk to Olivia about her gun, revealing hat the gun found in Cole's car was Olivia's but that it wasn't the murder weapon. While Olivia protested that she hadn't touched the gun in months, Caitlin arrived and told him that Francesca had confided that Olivia had threatened her with that gun. Ricardo told Olivia that even if she didn't kill Francesca with that particular gun, it didn't mean that she didn't use another gun to do it. Amy overheard him saying that he believed that Olivia was the murderer.

BEN'S HOUSE: Maria admitted that she must have had a reason for keeping Benjy a secret from Ben. Maria asked Tess to spill the whole truth. Ben told Meg that he was never going to deny Benjy's paternity.

RICHARDS HOUSE: When Annie awoke from the nightmare, she decided to find someone else to take the blame for the murder.

RICARDO'S APARTMENT: Gabi found an answering machine tape. Rather than getting rid of it immediately, she stopped to listen to it.

ST. JOSEPH'S: Sister Bertrille told Antonio how much she had appreciated his sermon on honesty. While praying in front of a statue of he Virgin Mary, he imagined Francesca there, taunting him about how he wouldn't be able to be honest with Ricardo until he stopped loving Gabi.
