Forced to cover for what really happened, Gregory explains that Caitlin came to him for help in getting rid of Francesca. He adds that she was giving the briefcase full of money to his employee to pay off Francesca to get her out of town. Annie then helps by stating that, to get on Gregory's good side, she left a phony note for Cole in hopes that he would break up with Caitlin. Back at the Richard's house, Gregory lies to his daughter that Annie told him about the blackmailer and states that he paid him off because he felt guilty for his role in the accident which cost her her baby. Francesca later boasts to Gregory that she knows how to end Caitlin's marriage. Cole confronts Annie and calls her a liar, demanding the truth about the money. Thanks to the phony smoke alarm, Emily and Sean pop out and everyone realizes that they were about to make love. Leo hints to Sean that Brad had matches and may have set the alarm himself. Amy decides to use Brad to get to Sean. After he admits he read the letter from Dr. Green, Vanessa confesses to Michael that she slept with Tyus while they were deadly ill from Martin's Syndrome. Virginia arranges for Tyus to show up just as Vanessa admits the baby is his. Olivia is stunned to find a baby spoon in her purse. Gabi kisses Antonio but thinks it's Ricardo.
