INN AT SUNSET BEACH: While Gregory was trying to convince Annie to come out of the bedroom, Caitlin came in and informed him that Annie left. Caitlin said that she knows that he really loves Olivia, but Gregory responded that his relationship with Olivia is over for good. She reminded him that they were connected at the hospital while they were worried about Trey. He insisted that they were concerned for their grandchild, and love for one's children and grandchildren is the kind that never dies. However, his love for Olivia is the kind that can die -- and has. Gregory revealed that he had married Annie to protect his interests in the Liberty Corporation. He went on to say, to Caitlin's chagrin, that he really cares about Annie and he thinks that they are well suited for one another.

ELAINE'S WAFFLE SHOP: Cole told AJ that he wants to take Caitlin and Trey to San Diego to see Elaine, and AJ tried to talk him out of it. Cole hired Hank to make repairs to the waffle shop. AJ vowed that Cole wouldn't leave town.

ELSEWHERE: Someone left a message on his boss's answering machine, saying that Cole was a 99.9% probable match, and that there was no time to waste.

OLIVIA'S HOUSE: Olivia gloated to Bette about how glad she was that Annie got what she deserved, oblivious to the discomfort she's causing her friend.

While holding a picture of Trey, Olivia said that she's glad that Emily's back, because nothing is as important as the bond between mother and child. Olivia hoped that Cole hasn't changed his mind about letting her spend time with the baby, because she intended to spend as much time with him as she can.

CHARLES' OFFICE: Annie told Charles that she knew that he told Gregory about the codicil to Del's will and demanded a divorce from Gregory -- today. Charles threw Annie's words about her success back at her. He informed her that the codicil says that they have to stay married for a year, or Olivia gets the stock. When Annie said that Gregory used her to get her stock, Charles pointed out that he could have gotten her stock without marrying her, so he must care about her. She thought Gregory only pitied her, and declared that she'd rather die than have Gregory's pity.

INN AT SUNSET BEACH: While reveling in Annie's misery, Caitlin let it slip that Gregory felt bad about hurting her. Caitlin quickly covered by saying that all Annie will ever have is Gregory's pity -- never his love. After Caitlin left the room, Annie cursed her, Gregory, and, most of all, Del. Annie fantasized about visiting Del in Hell, where he baited her about her failure. He taunted her that no one can ever love her -- not Del, not Bette, not Gregory, and not even her own mother.

THE PIER: When Francesca told him that she didn't have anywhere to live, Antonio offered to let her stay with him at the mission.

ST. JOSEPH'S: Francesca asked if Antonio ever hears from his parishioners in Mexico. He replied that he gets lots of letters -- all about how badly they feel about having been robbed. She thought that he just invited her there to make her feel guilty, and left.

Francesca returned just as Antonio warned Cole that Francesca was staying in town for a while. Cole asked Francesca why she hasn't left. She remarked that she wouldn't get very far without any money. He suggested that she sell her bracelet, but she insisted that she couldn't sell her bracelet because it was all she has left. She asked him if he wants her out of town because he's afraid of what she might do -- or what he might do.

GRENADINE'S: AJ bumped into Olivia, who told him that she doesn't want to miss another minute of Trey's childhood. He hoped that she could get everything she wants. She was sure she would. She kissed him.

INN AT SUNSET BEACH: When Olivia stated her intention to see Trey every day to Caitlin, Cole arrived and declared that she couldn't.

OLIVIA'S HOUSE: Bette let Gregory have it for his treatment of her niece. When Gregory commented that Annie only married him to get her stock, Bette replied that if he believed that, he didn't know Annie at all. She went on to say that all Annie ever wanted was to be loved -- even after Del's death, she was trying to win his approval. It occurred to Bette and Gregory that Annie might do something to harm herself.

ELSEWHERE: The boss called him back and the doctor confirmed that Cole is an absolute match. He urged his boss that they had to get moving as soon as possible. It turned out that the boss was AJ!

INN AT SUNSET BEACH: Gregory arrived home and was frantic when he discovered Annie standing on a ledge!
