THE CLUB

CONNECTED: When Ben had difficulty telling Maria the truth, she assumed that she hurt him in some way. He touched her face, and she felt a connection between them when he touched her. She said that her heart told her that they were close.

SUSPICIOUS MIND: Sara suggested that maybe Maria has had her memory for a while and has been pretending to have amnesia, but Meg denied it, saying that Dana couldn't do anything like that. Sara then suggested that perhaps Maria could.

THAT WAS CLOSE: When Michael pressed Virginia to tell him how she knew about the lamp, she told him that she saw Vanessa knock it over. Vanessa told her that she couldn't have because she wasn't in the room with her. Virginia modified her story to say that that she was in the room when Vanessa collapsed, not when she knocked the lamp over.

SURF CENTRAL: Vanessa realized how uncertain life is since Ben and Meg's wedding day turned out like this. Michael reassured her, and proposed -- with a ring this time. She accepted. Meanwhile, Virginia fantasized about Michael breaking up with Vanessa over the baby, and proposing to her, instead.

CAUTIONARY MEASURES: Dr. Estrada said that Maria's condition might have been worsened by her unexpected contact with people from her past. Just as Ben was about to tell Maria the truth, Dr. Estrada and Tyus entered the room. Dr. Estrada emphasized how important it was that Maria remember on her own. Ben told Dr. Estrada he wanted to check on Meg, so she suggested that he do so while she spoke to Maria alone.

Alone in the room together, Maria demanded that Dr. Estrada tell her what's going on. Dr. Estrada insisted that no one can give her her memory back, she has to remember who she is on her own. She offered to introduce her to other people who know her, in hopes that one of them will strike a familiar chord.

HANDLE WITH CARE: When he emerged from the room, the Torres family crowded around Ben asking about Maria's condition. Dr. Estrada asked the Torres family not to tell Maria how they know her. Annie declared that she needed to see Maria, but Dr. Estrada insisted that she's only allowing family to see her right now.

Dr. Estrada introduced Maria to her family, who were overwhelmed by seeing her. She didn't remember any of them. Carmen broke her word and announced to Maria that she's her mother. After Antonio and Ricardo removed their mother from the room, Maria worried about whether she will ever remember anything when she couldn't remember her own mother. Maria realized that the only person she trusts is Meg, and asked to see her.

Gregory overheard Annie blaming Tim for her inability to see Maria, and told her that he knew that she had something to do with Maria's sudden appearance. Annie denied it.

COMMITTED: Meg kept a stiff upper lip about Maria's return. Ben said that he owes Maria the chance to get her memories back, but that he still meant every word he said in church that morning. He hoped that Meg would continue to want to work on things as husband and wife.

A FRIEND IN NEED: Meg saw the disheartened Torres family coming out and suggested that Ben go to them. He replied that they needed to speak to the Torres family together. Dr. Estrada told Meg that Maria asked for the only person she considered a friend -- Meg. Annie protested, but Meg promised to do anything she can to help her friend.

Gabi and Antonio comforted Ricardo. Carmen vowed to Ben to do everything in her power to give Maria her life -- and her husband -- back. Meanwhile, Meg entered the room, and Maria ran to her and hugged her. She said that she trusts Meg, and asked her what everyone's keeping from her.
