Gabi tells Antonio she's decided to take a few days off
and go away with Ricardo. An infuriated Meg accuses
her sister of plotting with Tim to stab her in the back.
Maria explains to Ben why she's so certain the door in
the wine cellar leads to an important piece of her past.
Carmen pleads with Ricardo not to give his heart to a
woman who is destined to break it. Sara attempts to
make Meg understand why she's concerned enough to
meddle in her sister's messy domestic situation. Ben
leads Maria through the door and into the cave, where
she begins to remember how special the place was to
them both. Sara warns a seething Meg that Ben is
going to leave her for Maria. Ricardo assures Gabi he's
paying no heed to his mother's ravings. Following her
fight with Sarah, Meg realizes that she, too, has had
some recent doubts about where she stands with Ben.
As memories finally flood back, Maria recalls with a
shudder what happened on the night she nearly
drowned. Gabi climbs into bed with Ricardo but finds
herself unable to respond to his caress. As Sara
watches from her hiding place, Ben wraps his arms
around a weeping Maria and comforts her with a warm
embrace.
