WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 4, 1998

BEN'S HOUSE: When Sara berated her for being in Ben's house in her wedding dress, Maria promised to get out of their lives once and for all. Sara refused to believe that Maria had Meg's best interests at heart. Sara told Maria how Carmen has been pressuring Meg. When Sara commented that Meg doesn't need any additional pressure, Maria surprised her by saying that that was why she refused to move in.

Ben asked Meg what Carmen said to her. Meg admitted that Carmen said that Ben and Maria belong together, and that a part of Meg was beginning to believe that she's right. Ben asked why she'd think that. She responded that how relaxed and happy Maria was proved that she's still in love with Ben. Meg insisted that Maria needs to move in and Ben tried to talk her out of it. Meg explained that her own happiness is at stake, because the sooner Maria gets well, the sooner she can sign the divorce papers.

BERNIE'S HOUSE: A knife sprang out of the box, barely missing Sean. Sean, Emily and Leo tried to convince Amy that the mummy wasn't really her dad, but when she walked over to it, she was horrified by what she saw! The mummy was wearing a ring that she bought for Bernie's 40th birthday, one he had promised never to take off until the day he died. The police hadn't come by yet, so rather than calling them again, the gang decided to go to the police station.

RICHARDS HOUSE

ALL ABOUT THE NECKLACE: Hillary told Annie that if she gives the necklace to her, she'll be doing herself a big favor. If not, the necklace will be a death sentence! Ricardo told Gregory that the tip was just a little too convenient, and he suspected that Cole was set up -- possibly by Gregory himself. Gregory denied it. Annie took Cole aside to apologize for accusing him of trying to steal her necklace. She then said that she's going to have to donate the necklace to a museum unless he can think of something else. A frantic Hillary offered to buy the necklace from Annie for a million dollars. Meanwhile, Gregory and Olivia reminisced about the first Halloween party they threw together.

CAUGHT IN THE [SISTER] ACT: Caitlin propositioned Cole, but he told her that he couldn't leave right then. Caitlin appealed to Olivia to convince Cole that it would be acceptable for them to leave, but Olivia insisted that she thought that they should stay. Caitlin told Olivia that Cole had been desperate to get away from her all evening. Thinking she was Bette, Caitlin approached Francesca, and realized that Francesca was the nun that Cole had been talking to in the study. Francesca claimed that she wanted to start things up again with Cole, but that he loves only Caitlin, and she just came to the party to say good-bye to Cole.

BLACKOUT!: Annie accepted Hillary's offer, and Hillary left to get the money. On her way out, Cole stopped her. Hillary told Cole that she didn't need the sapphires or emeralds anymore. Just as Hillary was about to pay Annie for the necklace, the lights went out.

SUNSET BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT: Amy told the others that her father was really great when her mom first left, but that lately he had been acting really weird. They updated Ricardo on what happened, and Ricardo decided to take them back to the house.

MADAME CARMEN'S SHOP: Ben told Maria and Carmen that Maria is going to be moving in with him and Meg, and that they wouldn't take no for an answer.

BERNIE'S HOUSE: When Ricardo and the kids arrived, they found that the mummy was gone! Only Bernie's clothes, the ring and the pen were left behind.
