BEN'S HOUSE
A KISS IS JUST A KISS:
Ben and Maria were speechless when Meg caught them kissing. Maria stopped Meg from leaving and thanked her for being willing to help her, regardless of who she is. She went on to say that she remembered something when she was upstairs. Maria told Meg that Annie revealed that she and Ben had been married. She was telling Ben about finding the book of poetry when Dr. Estrada arrived. Maria told Dr. Estrada that Ben saved her life, and asked to speak to Meg privately before they leave. Meg and Maria went upstairs to the studio. Meanwhile, Dr. Estrada told Ben that he and Meg were the key to Maria's recovery. She said that Maria might shut down completely if she's not able to handle her memories, and that Ben and Meg might be able to stop that from happening.
FRIENDS TO THE END: Maria was concerned about why Meg was so quiet. Maria explained that the kiss was only her way to thank Ben for helping her. Maria said that they need to break off their friendship, because Maria knows that she's a burden to Meg, and that Meg needs to think about what her relationship with Ben. Meg insisted that she couldn't take Maria up on her offer, because she had to make sure that Maria regained her memories. Maria declared that Meg is the best friend she has ever had. Maria and Meg realized that Tim and Annie were working together to keep Maria's return a secret. Maria promised Meg that she wouldn't forget their friendship. She and Dr. Estrada left. Maria asked Dr. Estrada if anyone told Annie that Dr. Estrada didn't want anyone to tell her about her past.
LEGALLY WED -- BUT TO WHOM?: Gregory arrived with the answer about the legality of Ben and Maria's marriage. The two men agreed to keep each other informed regarding Annie's involvement in Maria's return. Gregory gave Ben the file that contained his conclusion about his marriage to Maria. Later, Meg insisted on knowing what was in the file. She was distressed to discover that Ben is still legally married to Maria. Ben promised that he wouldn't stop until they have their future secured.
SYDNEY'S OFFICE: Francesca arrived when Cole was talking to Sydney. Sydney admitted that she told Francesca that Cole was there. After Sydney left the room, Francesca laid into him for not telling her that he'd found the rubies. He told her that he'd decided that he wasn't going to steal them, and Francesca figured out that AJ has the rubies. Francesca told Cole that if AJ had the jewels, then he's as evil as Bernie and Hillary are. Cole flatly refused to steal from AJ, telling Francesca that she's on her own. After Francesca left, Sydney returned and told Cole that he and Francesca belong together. He admitted that they did always say that death is the only thing that could separate them.
POWER PLANT: Olivia told Annie that she's not sure that Cole will be willing to steal the necklace from AJ. She wanted Annie to convince Gregory to buy the necklace from AJ so that Cole can steal it from her. Annie insisted that AJ would never sell the necklace to AJ, but Olivia assured Annie that she'd make sure that AJ was willing to sell the necklace to Gregory. Annie's job will be to convince Gregory to buy the necklace. Annie admitted that she and Gregory were on the outs, but Olivia wouldn't let her use that as an excuse. After Olivia left, Annie decided that she needed to go see Maria.
INN AT SUNSET BEACH: AJ told Caitlin that he had decided to give the necklace to her, so that the next time he offers a gift to Olivia, she'll accept it. Caitlin told him that she can't accept it because of Cole's past as a jewel thief. She didn't know why she brought that up, and he told her that it was because of Francesca. AJ promised Caitlin that Francesca wouldn't be a problem any longer. Olivia arrived, and AJ left for a meeting. Olivia asked Caitlin what they had been talking about. Caitlin told her mother how much AJ wanted her to have the necklace, but Olivia responded that the necklace would be put to good use elsewhere.
CEDAR OAKS: Gregory arrived just as Annie was asking after Maria's condition. She gave him a passionate kiss hello, and made her first attempt at convincing him to buy the necklace for her, but he didn't take the bait. He told his wife that what she did when she told Maria that she was Ben's wife may have harmed Maria more than it helped her, and that it might have hurt Annie worst of all. Maria arrived and demanded that Annie explain herself.
