WEEK OF JULY 13

OLIVIA LEARNS THAT TREY IS HER SON: Olivia threatens to inform the police that Annie kidnapped and perhaps murdered Olivia's newborn son. The baby is alive, confesses Annie. But if Olivia turns her in, Annie will spill the beans to Caitlin that Olivia slept with Cole. Despite the threat, Olivia is determined to be reunited with her son. That would break Caitlin's heart, warns Annie, as she flings open the church doors -- revealing Caitlin and cole preparing to baptize Trey. Annie claims that the boy Olivia believes to be her grandson, is in fact, her son. Olivia doesn't believe the truth. Caitlin miscarried and was terrified of losing Cole because of her infertility, Annie further reveals to a confused Olivia, who interrupts the ceremony when she flees the church.

SHE'LL CRY IF SHE WANTS TO: At Cedar Oaks, Meg asks the mystery woman what her name is. Sadly, the patient is only able to cry. Later, Meg and Ben's lovemaking is interrupted by her memories of sex with the now-dead Derek. Meg can't seem to find a way to break the horrible news to a clueless Ben. They will put Derek's reign of terror in the past, vows Ben. He sets the stage for a day of romance.

X MARKS THE POCK: Virginia nearly keels over when Michael informs her that he believes Vanessa inherited Martin's Syndrome from her mother. She must have fled Sunset Beach to spare him any pain, Michael deduces. He is now more determined than ever to track down Vanessa. Virginia panics; she orders Tyus to act immediately if they expect to keep Vanessa hidden. Michael confronts Tyus, who plans to inject himself with a strain of the syndrome so he can test an experimental cure -- but Michael interrupts him. Meanwhile, Vanessa feels that she must finally tell Michael the truth about her difiguring condition.

SARA-GATE EXPOSED: Just as Sara's about to confess that she's been a naughty girl with Congressman Blythe, Ma and Pa Cummings are confronted by a team of reporters. After the press plays Sara's taped admission of her illicit affair, Sara tells her parents the truth. Casey holds Melinda responsible for the leak.

SHAPE UP OR SHIP OUT: Phillip Vargas is revealed to be the man who's been stalking Cole for the past few months. A cruise-ship voyage to benefit Antonio's mission is planned and Dr. Merk, an associate of Phillip's, tells hm that Cole will surely be on board. It's a prime opportunity, since Cole is "a perfect match," says Phillip mysteriously. As the partygoers gather on the dock to set sail for love and adventure, Phillip watches with eager anticipation as his gorgeous wife, Francesca, comes face-to-face with one of her former flames -- Cole! Also on the ship's passenger list are Emily, who freaks out at the sight of Bette, and Sara, who's unaware that sneaky Melinda is planning a videotaped confrontation.

SHAKE IT UP: At Trey's baptism party after church, Olivia again fails to tell Caitlin the truth. Cole walks in and overhears Olivia crying about "her baby" while holding Trey. Cole and Olivia are heading back downstairs when they detect a slight tremor. Olivia leaves without her baby. Later, with the whole family out of the house, Olivia prepares to get Trey back and run off with him, only to be stopped by Annie. Sunset Beach is then rocked by the first rumblings of an earthquake.
