WEEK OF JULY 20

A DEVASTATING EARTHQUAKE THREATENS ALL: In the aftermath of the big quake, Virginia is pinned under a door in Tyus's apartment, but Vanessa saves her. Virginia is horrified to discover Jimmy's bloody baseball cap. She's being punished for her wicked ways, Virginia admits to Vanessa. Jimmy's reappearance cuts his mother's confession short. Moments later, she is buried under falling debris.

CRUISING FOR A BRUISING: The passengers aboard the S.S. Neptune remain unaware of the devastation back home. Cole comes face-to-face with Philip's wife, Francesca, with whom he once shared love -- as well as gambling tips. Their abrupt breakup left Cole bitter. To prove his commitment to Caitlin, Cole whisks his wife away for some private lovemaking. But not too private -- Philip makes sure Francesca witnesses the tryst. When Cole catches Francesca spying, she berates Philip for setting her up. Convinced that his wife's still in love with Cole, Philip plots with his henchman, Curt, to murder him.

DISASTER STRIKES: Back on land, Gregory and AJ find themselves pinned under a mound of rubble at the construction site. They're rescued by a young male stranger, who's terribly concerned about AJ -- and with good reason. It turns out that the boy is AJ's son, Leo Deschanel.

Meanwhile, Olivia begs Annie to free from under a column. Just then, an aftershock sends a chandelier crashing down on them. Narrowly escaping death, Annie manages to pull Olivia to safety in the nick of time. Olivia fears the worst when she realizes that she hasn't heard Trey cry. Gregory, AJ and Leo arrive to help find Trey. Annie, hurt by Gregory's concern for Olivia, shoves the first Mrs. Richards out of the way and retrieves Trey. Just as Annie's about to carry the boy across the room, the floor opens up, trapping Annie and Trey in a corner. Annie hands Trey over the chasm to Olivia, but something's wrong -- Trey has stopped breathing.

MEMORIES: Meg is trapped in a Cedar Oaks hospital room with "Dana," the mystery woman, who claims that she has no memory of her past -- not even her name. Dana freaks out when she spies the bloodied body of Nurse Helen dead in a doorway. Ben is stuck in another room with Tim, who confesses that he'll always have feelings for Meg. Truman accuses Ben of being secretive aobut his past with Maria.

MOTION ON THE OCEAN: Emily bolts when she sees that Bette is on board the Neptune.... Amy and Brad conspire against Emily.... Gabi receives a wooden statue from Curt, similar to one that Antonio had, and the priests wants to know where she got it.... Melinda, with cameraman Bruce in tow, attempts to ambush Sara -- but Casey intervenes. Later, Melinda blasts Sara for sleeping with Blythe -- Melinda loved him. The two exchange heated words, and Melinda vows vengeance.

AFTERSHOCK: Ben pulls Meg free from the wreckage, but just as he reaches for Dana's hand, they're separated by an even stronger quake. Meanwhile, Tyus and Michael arrive in time to save Virginia, but another tremor buries Michael and Vanessa. Back in the nursery, Annie, AJ and Leo tumble through the floor. As Gregory and Olivia speed Trey to the hospital, a new danger looms when an overpass collapses on top of them.
