CHAPTER 12

Cameron and Amanda wake up, and Amanda's really nervous.

"Well, I guess this is the day, I find out if I'm, well if I am," but she couldn't finish Cameron kisses Amanda's forehead.. "It's ok. Whatever happens today, know how much I love you, and I'll stand by you no matter what."
"No, if I'm sick, you can't. I can't put you through that. You deserve better, much better then some helpless vegetable."
"Amanda, you are the first person, that has actually given a damn about me. You are the best thing to happen to me. I'm not going to let you give up on yourself."
"Well, let's just go, ok? I want to get this over with." Amanda said, and they headed off towards BC hospital. When they arrived they were led to the doctor's office, and Amanda could bearly sit still.
"Amanda, it's gonna be alright" Cameron said trying to reassure her "I'm glad one of us has some hope" she replied, and the doctor walked in the room.
"Well Mrs. Sinclair," Amanda looks at Cameron who smiles, and winks at her, letting her know to go along with it.
"Yes" she said still confused "Do you have the results?"
"Yes we do. I have some good news."
"Good? It's good news?" Amanda said happily
"Yes, the test results came back negative. It wasn't cancerous."
"As in I don't have cancer"
"Yes, Mrs. Sinclair you do not have cancer"
"Oh my God! Thank you!" Amanda yelled
"See! I told you so. You just needed faith" Cameron said, just as excited
"So now Mrs. Sinclair, you and your husband can go home, and just relax. You'll need to come back in about a week for a check up, but otherwise you should be fine. Get plenty of rest.." but the doctor's words trailed off. Amanda and Cameron focused on each other, and wished the doctor would leave.
"Ok, then Mr. Sinclair, take care of you wife here, and good luck" and with that he left the room. Amanda and Cameron stared at one another, and tears were pouring down Amanda's face, and a few tears escaped from Cameron's eyes as well. Without words, they ran into each others arms, and held on for dear life.

Between tears, Amanda said let's get out of here. Cameron and Amanda walked out of the hospital hand in hand. Cameron went and made a quick call, and Amanda prayed to God.
"Dear Lord, I just wanted to thank you for everything. I want to thank you for taking care of Alli. She really needed you. Thank you for giving me another chance at life. And another chance at life with Cameron" and she looked over at Cameron, who was walking towards her
"Thank you again. Amen".
"So Mr. Sinclair, care to explain why that doctor thought we were husband and wife?" Amanda asked chuckling
"You see when you first were hurt, the doctor wouldn't tell me how you were because we weren't related. So I said we were married, so I could find out what happened. I hope that's ok?"
"Well, only if you give me a kiss" and he turned to her and placed a sweet kiss on her lips.
They walked toward his apartment, and up to his room. When the door opened, it was lit with candles, soft music was playing, 2 dozen roses sat on a table that was candle lit with a dinner already waiting.
"Cameron! How? When?" Amanda said breathless
"Well that phone call I made was to, Gary. It's nice to have a brother every once and awhile." he said smiling
Cameron and Amanda sat down and started eating, and drinking wine, talking about everything. After a while, Amanda walked over and asked Cameron to dance.
They got up and started to sway to the music. Cameron drank in every part of Amanda. Finally they started kissing. First sweetly then passionetly. Finally Cameron picked Amanda up, and carried her off to bed. Cameron wanted to take in every part of her, and she wanted to take in him as well. They began to make love, and after it was all over, they lay in each others arms. Cameron spoke first.
"I've waited so long to be with you."
"Cameron, I can't tell you how much I love you. I want to be with you forever."
Cameron got up, pulled on his pants. He told Amanda to put on her robe, and come out onto the terrace. When they got out there, there was a white rose laying on the stone railing. Cameron walked over and grabbed the rose, and handed it to Amanda.
"This flower reminded me of you. Beautiful, delicate, sweet"
"Cameron, this day has been wonderful. You've done so much for me" she said smelling the flower
"I'm not done yet." Cameron said. Cameron got down on one knee, and began
"Amanda, I know we haven't really known each other for very long, and we haven't exactly been on alot of dates, and most of our time together was spent trying to bascially stay alive, but I've always known that I love you. And I know that your everything I've ever wanted in a women. You bring me more joy, then anyone else in my life. I want to spend my life with you. I guess what I'm asking you, is will you marry me? Will you be my wife?"
"Cameron, yes"
"Yes?"
"YES! I will be your wife. I'll spend my life with you"
Cameron got of his knee, and placed the ring on Amanda's finger. "There, now you'll REALLY be Mrs. Sinclair"
"Mrs. Cameron Sinclair" Amanda said smiling
They leaned in and kissed each other with everything they had.
