Character: Brad Niclaus
CHARACTER: Brad Niclaus, Amy's caustic co-conspirator. BORN AND RAISED: "I was born on June 8 in San Diego but I only lived there for a short time." ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE: "My dad was in the oil business, so we traveled throughout the world. I lived in Alaska for almost five years when I was really young, and Singapore for six years. My interest in acting surfaced because we moved around so much- but to be honest- I think it was really a bid to get attention." TEACHER'S PET: "My parents would've preferred that I studied engineering, but they paid for me to go to the American Academy of Arts (in Los Angeles) for three years, which I'm thankful for. One of my teachers was Karen Hensel (Doris, The Young and the Restless). I adored her. Her husband, Carl (Regglardo) is great, too. He directed me in a stage production of Much Ado About Nothing at the academy. Then I did a production of Say Goodnight Gracie; I was lucky to come away from that with an agent and a manager." SILKY SMOOTH: "On Silk Stalkings, I played the college roommate of a male hooker. He got murdered, and the police interrogated me. That was a good part, and I got some good footage from it for my reel." BRAD THE BAD: "Brad has allegiances to no one but himself- not even to Amy. He also has an eternal foot in his mouth. He's hungry, determined and stubborn, but not a bad person." SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST: "The show didn't tell Krissy (Carlson, Amy) and me if our characters would survive the cruise-ship disaster. We'd get our scripts and go through them quickly to see if we lived through another episode. I didn't think we'd survive, because we were being so mean to Emily aboard the ship. But as soon as we read the part about the rescue helicopter saving us, we were like, 'Yes!' Then, later on, the show offered us both contracts. We were so relieved. IT'S EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF: "On the ship, the worst part was when Brad went through the water tunnel alone. I got some pretty nasty mail on that one." HAPPINESS IS A THING CALLED WORK: "I got to the studio with a huge smile on my face every day. I'm so happy to be there." The above section is courtesy of The Teens Of Sunset Beach.
