Chapter  14

The Penthouse

Sonny managed to unlock the door whille still kissing Brenda. He couldn't
resist her. He didn't know how he did for so long. He didn't know what he'd do
without her and he didn't even want to find out. 
He slammed te door shut and scooped her up in his arms. She put an arm around
his neck and he carried her upstairs. 
She didn't seem to care that he had insisted on carying her everywhere. She
just wanted to be with him. Besides, he was just worried about her. He was one
of the few people who truly cared about her.
When they reached their bedroom, he set her down on the feet.  She pulled his
coat off and he unzipped her dress, letting it fall in a heap to the floor. 
He took her face in his hands and leaned down to kiss her again. Slowly, they
both moved towards the bed. Sonny helped her lay back.
He paused slightly over her to take in her beauty. His heart swelled with an
overwhelming sensation of love.
"God Brenda, I love you so much. I don't know what I"d do without you." He
whispered sexily in her ear.
She brushed her hand across his handsome face.
"I love you too and I'm never going to leave you so don't worry."
She pulled him closer to her and kissed him softly.
"I just wanted to make sure."
He covered her body with his and they made love as they only knew how to.
Passionately and gently. 


The Docks

Lily turned around in panic when she heard footsteps.
Luke looked at her curiously.
"Lily, what are you doing out here ?"
She glanced next to her where Antonio was. He was gone.
She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that he had left.
For one in his miserable life, he had actually done something right.
She looked back at Luke.
"I was just going for a walk. I didn't notice how late it was. I better get
going. I have an early day tomorrow."
Luke nodded and watched her scatter away.
He saw something on the floor and leaned down to pick it up.  He examined it
closely.It was a gum wrapper folded up in an origami pattern. He looked up at
where Lily had stood. 
He brought his cigar back to his mouth and blew another puff. 
Lucky walked down the stairs and saw his father.
"Hey Dad. Sorry I'm late. I got held up at Ruby's."
"That's okay Cowboy. I just had an interesting encounter."
Lucky laughed.
"What ?"
"Nothing. Let's get out of here."
Luke put his hand on Lucky's back and they left the Docks.
Antonio stepped out of the shadows in the alley and watched them go.

The next morning,

Brenda rolled over in bed. Her hand hit the pillow. She reached over and
expected to find Sonny. There wasn't anything there. She opened her eyes and
rubbed them.
"Sonny ?"
She sighed and reluctantly got out of bed.
She walked into the bathroom and got in the shower. 
The hot water hit her body, relaxing her. She finished washing her hair and
stepped out. She grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her. She quickly got
dressed in one ofher new outfits and went downstairs. She heard Sonny in the
kitchen and went in. He was already dressed and cooking breakfast.
"Hey honey. I woke up and you ween't there."
"You were still asleep and I didn't want to wake you. I thought you would need
your rest after last night."
She smiled.
"Just last night ?"
He leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips. 
"Baby, I'm trying to cook here."
"And I'm trying to get you back in bed."
He groaned.
"We're both dressed Brenda." 
"I can fix that."
"I bet you can but we have plenty of time for that tonight."
"You sure ?"
"No but I've got some meetings I've got to get to."
She looked down disappointedly.
"Oh well, I've got to get over to the gatehouse anyway. Do you have to leave
right now ?" She asked.
"I'm not leaving until I make sure you eat everything I made for you."
"Sonny-"
"Just humor me Brenda."
She picked up the plate he offered her. She was hungry all of a sudden.
"Okay. I'll eat it all."
"Thank you."

The Parking Garage of Harborview Towers,

Antonio walked into the structure, walking past the attendant. He spotted the
red porshe and went over to it. He tried the door. It wasn't locked. He pushed
the lever that opened the hood. He glanced around the empty garage. It was
still early. Nobody would be down yet but he had to hurry.

Chapter  15

The Penthouse

Brenda groggily woke up and surveyed her surroundings. 
"Sonny ?"
She glanced around and didn't see him. 
She looked over at his side of the bed and saw a rose with a note attached.

Had to go out and take care of something. 
There's some food in the kitchen if you're hungry.

She sighed and crawled out of bed. She went into the bathroom for a shower. 

The Gatehouse

Lois is up and making breakfast in the kitchen. Ned walks in and pours some
coffee.
He smiles and slides his arms around her waist.
"Good morning to you too."
"It is a good morning and you know what ?"
Lois raises an eyebrow suspiciously.
"What ?"
"I'm going to spend it with my wife. I'll cancel my meeetings and let
Grandfather take care of everything at the office. What do you say ?"
"Who are you and what have you done with my Nedley ?"
His smile breaks out and his dimples are showing.
"It must be the spring air."
"It's almost winter."
"I just wanted to spend some time with my wonderful wife."
"Yeah ?"
"Yes."
"We can do that tonight. I know you don't want to leave Edward at the office
all day alone. You're CEO, you need to be there."
"Are you trying to get rid of me ?"
"Never. I just have somethings to do. I'll make dinner for you."
Ned pulls away and drinks his coffee.
"Sounds like a plan.Do we have any pasta ?"
"Always."
"Is Brenda coming over later ?"
"Yeah, we're going over some tour dates for L&B and..."
She hesitates.
"And ?"
"We're going to start planning the wedding."
Lois watched her husband for his reaction. A dark cloud washes over him and he
frowns.
"I would have thought she would have gotten her senses back by now and called
the damn thing off."
"They love each other."
"He'll get her killed."
"Sonny'll protect her."
"Corinthos can barely keep himself alive."

The Outback

Jason walks in and sees Robin siting at the bar talking to the bartender.
He goes over to her.
"Hi."
"Hi Jason."
"Are you working today ?"
She smiled.
"No. I just wanted to talk to Felicia about something. Do you want to grab a
table ?"
"Sure."
Jason follows Robin to an empty table. 
He pulls a chair out for her and she sits down.
"Thanks. So what brings you out here so early ?"
He shrugs.
"I usually get up early and go for a run."
She nodded.
"Brenda said that you always got up early and everything. It used to drive her
crazy when she lived at your place."
"Are you kidding me ? Brenda could sleep through an earthquake."
She laughs.
"She probably would too. She would sleep all day when we had sleepovers but we
were up all night talking so that most likely explains it."
"What did you talk about ? Or is that private ?"
"No. We mostly talked about boys and girl stuff. We gave each other
makeovers."
"Boys ?"
"Yeah. Guys. We even talked about you."
"Really ?" Jason asked with a grin.
"I kept asking Brenda about you. I had the biggest crush on you."
"You did ?I didn't know."
"I didn't expect you to. Why would you pay attention to me ?"
"Why wouldn't I ? You're smart, pretty and fun to be with. I"m glad we're
friends."
"So am I."
Jason nods and leans back in his chair.
"So what happened ?"
"I met Stone."
 
The Penthouse

Brenda is downstairs on the phone.
"Okay. I'll swing by Kelly's and pick up those papers..Yeah, I'll be there in
about an hour. I have to pack some things up."
"Is Sonny there ?"
"No, He went out but he should be back soon."
"Do you need help moving ?"
"Thanks for the offer but I think I can fo everything myself. I shouldn't have
that much stuff. Right ?"
"Right. Talk to you soon."
"Bye."
 

Forever In My Heart

Chapter  16

Brenda was about to write Sonny a note and leave when he walked in the door.

"Hi baby."

"Hi. I woke up and you were gone."

"I'm sorry. You usually sleep late and I thought I'd be back before you woke
up."

Brenda started feeling annoyed.

"Why ? Where were you ?"

"Nowhere important Bren. Just forget it."

"How am I supposed to forget it ? It must have been something if you had to
sneak out when I was sleeping and-"

Brenda stopped talking when she heard the doorbell. 
She waited for Sonny to answer the door and get rid of whoever it was was so
they could talk.

"Hey Luke. Come on in."

Brenda saw Sonny usher Luke in.

"Hey Brenda. How goes it ?"

Brenda ignored him.

"I have to go." She said as she walked out the door.
Sonny followed her to the elevator.

"Brenda, where are you going ?"

"Why don't you read the note I left and you can find out. Or you can read it
later since you obviously have more important things to do." She said evenly
as the elevator door closed.

Sonny shook his head and went back into the penthouse.

Luke was still standing in the living room waiting.\

"Trouble in paradise ?"

"Brenda's a little mad."

"I've never seen Brenda a little anything. She looked downright ticked. I
think it's safe to assume you are in the doghouse too."

"Not for long." Sonny said grinning.

Luke smiled.

"What on earth are you so happy about ? The model is mad at you. Have you
really lost it or something ?"
 
"She won't be mad for long." Sonny paused as he got himself a cup of coffee
from the table. "She thinks I'm keeping something from her."

"Are you ?"

"Yeah, a surprise I'm planning for her."

The Garage

Brenda angrily stepped out of the elevator and walked over to her red porshe.
She reached into her bag fir her keys and unlocked the door.
She was about to get in when a hand covered her muffled screams. She felt
something sharp in her arm then everything went dark.
