Ch. 81
"Pregnant? Are you sure?"
"Well not yet. But I'm late, and I'm NEVER late. So ya, I think that i
could really be pregnant."
She cast her eyes to the kids and then back to Sonny. Yes, this
pregnancy was unexpected, but she thought he would be happy about it.
Sonny stared at her in shock. This was what he had been wanting for so
long. A baby with the woman he loved more than his own life. He had
missed her pregnancy with Stone and the first part of his life, but he
would be there every step of the way with this baby.
"Sonny? Aren't you gonna say anything?"
"A baby?" he whispered. Brenda watched as a small smile played on his
lips. the tears starting to form in his eyes.
"Yes." she said nodding her head, the tears forming in her eyes as well.
Without another word, he picked her up and spun her around. When he set
her down he kissed her so hard and so passionately that it left them
both breathless.
"Well so much for your little plan of waiting for a baby." He said
laughing.
"Baby don't you know by now that any child of ours is going to be
stubborn and is going to do whatever it is NOT suppose to do?"
"I love you so much right now Brenda. You have made me happier than I
ever thougth i could be." He let her go slighlty and looked away.
"sonny? what's wrong?"
"You've giving me so much. So much more than i deserve, so much more
than i have ever given you. It's not fair. You deserve better than me."
"You gave me my son, and you gave me your heart. That's all I ever
asked for, and that's all I ever need. Sonny i'm not the same gilr you
fell in love with all those years ago. I'm stronger and wiser. I know
what's important now, and what's not. Our family and our love is what is
important to me. If you are going to be my husband than you have
tobelieve that too! You have to let go of all the hurting that we did to
each other. That's the only way we can trulely move forward. Now, can
you do that?"

"Do you forgive me?"
"For what?"
"For all the pain I caused you and for every miserable, selfish thing
I’ve ever done."
"Baby I forgave you a long time ago."
"How?"
"I love you and that means more to me than all the hurting and pain we
caused each other. I let go of it. Can you?"
"If you can forgive me then I can let go."
"Good." She turned around to look back at Stone and Bailey as the ran
around the back yard. "What do you think it’ll be this time?" She
asked leaning back against his chest.
"Well we sure do make beautiful sons together." Sonny wrapped his arms
around her waist, resting his hand on her stomach, amazed to think that
there might be a baby growing inside of her. Their baby. He kissed the
back of her head.
"Yeah we do, don’t we?" She smiled wistfully.
"And Stone wants a brother."
"Really?"
"Yeah he told a brother would be cool, but no more girls."
"I think it’d be great if we had a boy."
"Why?"
"I don’t know. Kind of even things out. We have two daughters and a son
so another boy would be just about perfect."
"I wish to God I had been there when you had Stone."
"So do I. You’re here now though, that’s what matters."
"Like Mike." He said quietly. Brenda turned around at the tone of his
voice.
"No not like Mike. Baby look at me." He lifted his eyes to stare into
her’s. "You are not like Mike. I love him, okay? He’s been a father
to me and to Jason and Mary is the mother I never had and the mother
Jason couldn’t remember having, but you are not your father or your
grandfather. You didn’t desert your family by running away or drinking
yourself into an early grave. You are here and you are safe and you are
not leaving me or Stone or Bailey or Sonya ever."
"But I did run away."
"You were running from someone who wanted to kill you. It’s not the
same thing as Mike or your grandfather. They were running from
responsibilities and life. You don’t run from those things. You face
them and you stick to your promises."
"Most of the time."
"One exception doesn’t make you a horrible person."
"One?"
"One as far as I am concerned. I love you Sonny."
"I love you too." He kissed her gently and slowly, cherishing the way
she tasted and felt.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Yeah. These tests are pretty accurate." Sonny noticed Brenda’s
fingers were digging into the mattress.
"Honey?"
"What?"
"Relax, please?"
"Yeah." She flopped back on the bed with a sigh. Sonny crawled on to
the bed next to her and pulled her into his arms.
"Nervous?"
"No of course not. I scared out of my mind thinking about all the other
things it could be."
"It’s a baby. I’m 99.999% sure."
"That sure, huh?"
"Yep." He kissed her ear whisperingly. She moaned slowly and turned on
her side to face him. "How much time until that test is done?"
"Not enough." She teased checking her watch. "Okay it’s time to
check."
"Do you want me to do it?"
"Please?" He kissed her forehead and squeezed her hand before he got
off the bed. She sat up and crossed her legs Indian-style. She bit her
lip and looked towards the bathroom door. Sonny appeared back in
doorway a few minutes later. "Well?"
"It turned blue."
"It turned blue? That means we’re gonna have a baby, right?"
"That’s what the box says."
"Sonny, we’re gonna have a baby! Ohmigod we’re gonna have a baby. Of
course we have to make an appointment and get it confirmed. Mercy not
GH. You know the gossip mill at GH. It’d be all over the hospital
before we even got a chance to tell anyone. I’ve gotta make an
appointment as soon as possible. You’re coming with me, right?"
"Of course I am." She smiled at him softly.
"C’mere." She held out a hand for him and he climbed back onto the
bed. He put his arms around her and kissed her. "A baby." She
whispered wonderingly.
"Our baby." He corrected as they lay down, holding each other.
"Our baby." She said looking up at him. She kissed his throat,
inhaling the scent of his cologne.
"I wanna name him Jason if it’s a boy."
"He would’ve hated that." Brenda pointed out. "But if it’s a girl I
wanna name her Morgan."
"Morgan Robin Corinthos."
"And if it’s a boy?"
"Something with a J."
"What about Jeremy? I was thinking about that if Sonya had been a boy.
I’ve got it. Jeremy Cates Corinthos."
"Cates?"
"Well we can’t use Stone and there are just too many Michael’s around
here so I think putting Cates in there is a good idea. That way both of
our sons have some part of your best friends in their names."
"You sound pretty sure it’s gonna be a boy."
"Well we have a pretty good track record when it comes to sons in case
you haven’t noticed we already have the world’s most adorable little
boy."
"Well you know what they say. Things are always better the second time
around. Relationships, kids, marriages."
"I thought it was the third time that was the charm?"
"Well I think we’re on our fourth try so neither one really applies to
us."
"Fourth? How do you figure?"
"Well there was the first time we were together, then the time we almost
got back together on the docks before I found out Lily was pregnant, and
then there was after the Jax fiasco that we did and now we are again."
"You’re right. That’s four. Ya know we’re really lucky. Some people
don’t even get one try to make things right. We got four."
"But this is our last try. The one that lasts forever."
"Promise?"
"Promise." He kissed her sweetly as they lay there.
Ch. 83
"Brenda stop pacing, you're going to wear a hole in that carpeting."
Lois remarked as she tried to get her best friend to calm down.
"Lois, I'm about to marry the man i love. How can you tell me to calm
down???"
Julia and Lois just laughed. Brenda had been a wreck the lasr week. She
was so nervous about the wedding being perfect that she was driving
everyone crazy.
"Hey, it's time." Mike said as he stepped into the room.
"Brenda, yo have never looked more beautiful than you do now."
"Thanks Mike."
"Well, i guess this is it kiddo. We are finally going to be family."
"Mike, we already are."
"I know, but I this just makes it official. I've wanted you and Michael
together for so long now that I'm just happy!! I just pray that my son
won't screw it up this time."
"He won't Mike. He's not the same man who left me all those years ago."
She headed for the door. She turned around.
"You coming Mike?"
"I wouldn't miss this for the world."

Sonny stood at the altar, waiting. He felt Luke put a hand on his
shoulder. Sonny turned around and smiled at his best friend.
The wedding march began and Bailey walked down the aisle dropping rose
petals. She walked down the aisle until she saw Sonny.
"Daddy!!" She said and ran towrds him.
Sonny picked her up and then handed her to MAry. Stone came down the
aisle next. He looked adorable in his matching tux standing next to his
dad and his uncle Luke.
Lois and Julia came down next and then Sonny saw her. Standing at the
back of the church was Brenda. She looked unbelievable.
Her dress was simple yet elegant. It was off white satin and off the
shoulder. It was tight on the top and flowed out at the hips. It had a
small train in back. She wore her hair down and curled with some
gathered at the top with flowers.
She took Mike's arm and the music started to play. They walked down
until they met Sonny at the altar. Mike smiled at his son and hugged
Brenda, then gave her hand to Sonny. Brenda and Sonny smiled at each
other. They turned to the priest and soon his words faded out as the
thought about all they had been through.
Well here we are again
I guess it must be fate
We fight it all along
But deep inside we know
We'd be back to set things straight
~~~~"All this time and we haven't been properly intoduced. I'm sonny
Corinthos."
"and I'm leaving." She reaches down to grab her suitcase and their
hands touch.
"I'm sorry what was your name again?"
"Brenda." She storms off.
"See ya later Brenda!"~~~~~~~
I still remember when

Sonny thinks about the first time they made love. And smiles at his
bride.
~~~~"Alright, now you tell me what it is you want."
"You know. You can guess what I want."
"Probably...but I want you to tell me anyway."
"I want to know that it's not too late."

"It will, Brenda."
"I want it to be important."
"You are important. And tomorrow, when the sun comes up, we'll still
be who we are - except without the loneliness."

~~~~~~~ Brenda squeezed Sonny's hand so hard he thought it was going to
break.
"Are you trying to break my habd on purpose?"
"I HATE you SONNY CORINTHOS!!! I wish i had never met you!!! You make
me
sick!!!"
The contraction ended and Brenda realesed the pressure on his hand. She
looked over at Sonny. He looked like he had just been hit by a truck.
"I'm sorry Sonny. I didn't really mean it! I'm always like this in
labor. When I was in labor with Bailey I swore to Jason that he would
never touch me again."
"Well I'm glad it's not personal."
Another contraction hit and Brenda almost broke his hand. She looked
like she was in so much pain, Sonny didn't know what to do.

Everything was happening so fast. Brenda was screaming and panting and
yelling at Sonny. But he ignored her comments and held her up when she
had to push and feed her ice chips. He was actually enjoying this. He
had missed Stone's birth and this somehow connected him to that as well
as Brenda.
"One more push and we'll have the head."~~~~~
When love is truly right

~~~~~~"Why don't you sit down?" She said motioning to the couch. He
nodded
and sat down on the couch. "Sonny you have been a wonderful friend and
father to me and the girls and Stone and I want you to know how much I
appreciate it."
"It's nothing you and Jason didn't do for me when Lily died."
"Yeah I know. Anyway you haven't pushed me to start a relationship
with
you other than a friendship one and I really do appreciate it."
"Bren, where's this going?"
"Sonny I want- I think we should- What I'm trying to say is that I'd
like to give us another try. That is if you still want to. Do
you?"~~~~~

do this right. I want to raise the girls as my own, and i want to have
more kids with you. I want to grow old with you on our farm and watch
our grandchildren grow up. What i'm trying to say is...will you marry
me?"
"Brenda, it won't happen again. the next time you walk down that
church
aisle, I'll be standing at the altar waiting for you like I should have
been all those years ago. We're gonna do this Brenda. I promise. So
what
do you say? Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
Brenda wiped the tears away and smiled. She believed him. He would be
there this time.
"Yes. I will marry you."~~~~

"Do you, Brenda veronica Barrett take Michael Cornithos, Jr. to be your
lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do.
"DO you Michael Cornithos, Jr. Take Brenda Veronica Barrett to

"I do."

They both snapped out of there trances as the priest spoke.
"You may kiss your bride."
Sonny bent down and kissed Mrs. Michael Corinthos, Jr. They turned and
the church errupted in applause. Sonny looked up and saw Jason and
Stone. Both were smiling. Sonny turned and looked at Brenda. She nodded
her head and kissed him lightly. He knew she had seen them too.

"Ladies and Gents! May I have your attention. As the best man I'm
supposed to say a few words. So here they are. Sonny, Brenda, it's been
a long hard road but you finally made it! I wish you only the best of
luck in your future!! To Sonny and Brenda!!"
Sonny kissed his wife and then took the stage himself.
"I'm going to make this quick, but Brenda and I have something that we
want to share with all of you. In approximately 7 months there is going
to be one more Cornithos in the world. My incredible wife here is
expecting."
He left the stage and went to Brenda and kissed her.

7 months later Jeremy Cates Cornithos was born. He weighed in at 8lbs.
6oz. 3 years later Morgan Robin Corinthos was born. Brend anad Sonny had
finally , in thier eyes, achieved perfection. They had their friends,
their children, but most of all they had each other.
