Road to Avonlea Videos

Sullivan Entertainment produced 91 episodes of the "Road to Avonlea" series and a movie-length Christmas special. Nearly half of the series was released to VHS videotape (two episodes per tape) before that format was discontinued. Disney has released the entire first season in a three DVD boxset entitled "Tales from Avonlea: The Complete First Season". Unfortunately, these episodes have had content removed (anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes an episode) and distracting fadeouts added. I strongly suggest avoiding spending money on such blatantly censored recordings. Fortunately, Sullivan Entertainment has released all seven seasons on DVD boxsets that are readily available through Amazon.com. These boxsets include each season's 13 episodes contained on several double-sided DVDs as well as a smattering of extras. Each season retails for $100, but can typically be purchased for less through third-party sellers.
