Storyline from 1998-present
Cutting to the chase... Palmer's left town with the stolen Nazi paintings. Dixie asked Tad for help... he agreed (did anyone really think he'd say "no" to her?). They cornered Palmer at an old C.E. warehouse... Tad tried to take the paintings out of Palmer's car's trunk...Palmer brained him with a strongbox of cash. Eep!
Dixie freaked and made a grab for Palmer but her real concern was making sure Tad was okay. He wasn't. :(
Dixie cried as she begged Tad to wake up. Then she got really worried that he was seriously hurt. (Damn, Palmer really pegged him good with the corner of that box. Ouch!) She started saying things like... "We've wasted so much time already..." Well, Mr. Martin wasn't unconscious anymore... not that he let her know! Can we say, cat that ate the canary? Check out this grin!
Poor Dix, with Tad armed with this knowledge... you're a goner. Tad's got you now. LOVE IT!
Well, Tad definitely made the most of this golden opportunity. He's so baaaaaad. Naughty Tad! ;-)
Even though Tad was playing opossum, he was really hurt and pointed the lump out to Dix...
You still with me? LOL Later they started teasing each other, Tad teased Dix about frying up road kill. Dix teased Tad about the smell of burning rubber and a cheap suit. Tad was mildly insulted yet still grinning. "Who are you calling cheap?" Dix teased..."we both know you've had this shirt since the 70s." Things got a little too close for comfort...
But Dixie was afraid and backed off. Curses! Foiled again! :) She told Tad she was returning to WV. He got so pissed, he gave her his keys and told her to use his car. Buh-bye. Of course... after she left. He decided to take matters into his own hands. He followed her to Adam's picked her up... threw her on the couch and told her they were going to talk!
He really opened up. But she kept trying to run. He knows why. Tried to show her that this "thing" between them just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger.. he he he.
He finally told her that he cared, because she matters to him... a lot! He wants her to stay in PV and work it out. Before she could respond... Opal entered. Tad was exasperated... another interruption. Now they are off to find Palmer....
