The early-eighties J. Geils Band years 1980-83

The release of Freeze-Frame in 1981 found the band on top of the charts with a platinum hit album, commercial success. After a world wide tour, opening for the Rolling Stones, they released a live LP Showtime and toured to promote that the next year. Alas success was also their downfall just a few short years later.
