Attention Viewers!

PUBLIC ACCESS TV IS NOT LISTED IN YOUR TV GUIDE! (This is the only place you will have access to the schedule for the public access channel, so pay attention!)

PAPA is not responsible if any of your favorite Public access shows are pre-empted, or if you don't like any of the shows, or if the show times are inexplicably changed, cut short, missing audio or video, etc. This is the responsibility of the programming departments at Cox and Time-Warner: Call them if they goof-up the airing.

Please note that the Public Access Channels numbers are different for both Cox and Time Warner. Also, the shows and show times are significantly different on each cable company,although there are a few that overlap. Shows can be either approximately a half an hour (28:30)or an hour (58:30).

Timewarner Cable airs hundreds of PSA's (Public Service Announcements) each month. Cox refuses to air any PSA's on public acces channels due to "technical difficulties" which have existed for over a year, going into two years now.

Be aware that the amount of time given to Public Access is NOT all day. Although there are many shows that want to go on the air, the administration at both Cox and Time Warner, have chosen to run "Community Bulletin Board" instead of live, local programming for much of the air-time.

Print out the following schedules and you judge for yourself. The areas marked "Special" seems to be allocated by the programming department for one-time shows that do not have an ongoing series. If there is too much "special " time, they just shove repeats in those spots. Not unlike commercial TV. Of course, you're not stuck with nasty commercials either. ;-)

Despite these little headaches, all of us Producers, Directors, Talents, Crews, and Families are grateful for Public Access, we Treasure our timeslots, and manage to put together zillions of hours of programming for your viewing pleasure on less-than "shoe-string" budgets. We're all passionate about what we do, and darned proud of it, too. The quality may be a little variable, but this is America: live with it. Free speech is a great thing, and we're thrilled to share our airtime with you. Tell a friend! In fact, someone you know will probably be ON Public Access TV sometime soon, so sit back, print this schedule, tape it to your TV, push record on the VCR, and get ready for REAL Community Programming, from your neighbors directly to you!

We hope that each of the Producers and Directors who work so hard to put together these shows will be giving us even more information on the shows so you are able to read about them and watch what you like. (Mission Statements, Upcoming scheduled episodes, guests, awards, that kind of thing.) As time permits, we'll be linking with the producers's websites and emails, so you can contact them directly with your feedback. Won't that be WILL we think of next? Darned near interactive TV!
