Felicia: I knew she was headed here -- Cape Endowments. Mac and I combed this place down to the last dust bunny.
V: That's against the law.
Felicia: So is assassination.
V: What if Cape Endowments makes capes?
Felicia: Then we'll apologize and leave. Meanwhile, you stand
right over here, see what you can hear Tess is up to. I'm going
to stand over here, and if anybody shows up I'll clear my throat.
V: Right.
[Felicia clears throat]
V: What?
Felicia: Nothing, I was just -- clearing my throat. Sorry.
Tess: Yes, we had a meeting. Wait, would you happen to know if he's on his way? Good. Good. That's ok. Thank you.
Felicia: This door right here is unlocked. We can duck out of
here if we have to.
V: Oh, God, let's hope not. I'm allergic to
green floor sweeping compound.
Felicia: Did you hear anything?
V: Yeah, a phone conversation. Whoever Tess
is waiting for is late. She's getting pretty impatient.
Felicia: Well, I hope this person hurries up
because I kind of want to get back to Mac.
V: Really?
Felicia: and Robin.
NEXT SCENE
Felicia: Are you sure Tess said this guy was on his way?
V: Positive.
Felicia: Well, he better get here soon --
[footsteps approach]
V: Go, go, go, go, go.
Man: Hey, Tess. Hope you haven't been waiting too long.
Tess: Long enough.
Man: Here's the name and number that you'll need.
Tess: He's already agreed to the date and the price?
Man: Correct. What about James?
Tess: He'll be there, along with a city full of witnesses. This
groundbreaking ceremony is the event of the season. When Jax signs
the contracts for the waterfront project, the area around him
will be cleared for the media to get their shots.
Man: One should do it. Our man is going to fire from james' direction.
It's going to look like Mac scorpio pulled the trigger. There's
going to be a panic. Somebody in the crowd is going to point the
finger at him.
Tess: And poor mr. Scorpio will be shot trying to escape.
Man: By George, I think she's got it.
Felicia: Ok. Ok, now, remember, keep your head down, back to the
door, and we'll be just fine.
V: "We"? How about me? And while we're on the subject,
why me?
Felicia: because Tess will recognize me. Now,
come on. We've been over this. Go over there and find out what
they're talking about. Let's go.
V: Ok.
Man: The other 2/3 he gets after the job is
done.
Tess: Why not half up front?
Man: It's a little insurance. I figure with
what we're shelling out, he might find that half is plenty -
[crashing sound]
Tess: What the hell?
Tess: What are you doing? They clean this place at night.
V: [slavic accent] Please, no, need job. Father dead, mother
in hospital.
Tess: We're all going to be in the hospital if you don't
clean this mess up. Well -- ugh. Now, there's got to be a mop
in the supply closet.
V: Huh?
Tess: Mop. Mop.
V: Mop, mop! (v. Holds up a map)
Tess: No, no. If you want something done right --
V: No --
(Felicia is in the closet pushing against the
door)
Tess: It's got to be locked. Hey, do you know
where there's a key?
V: [slavic accent] lost.
Tess: You lost the key?
V: But, please, no. Mother dead, father in
hospital.
Tess: Well, whoa, where, hey. Where are you
going?
V: Bathroom, for the towel -- paper towel for
the floor.
Man: Tess? Come on, let's go. I don't have
all day for you.
Tess: Right.
Man: Can you be ready in three weeks?
Tess: Three weeks? (v hears this then leaves
with felicia)
Man: Is that too soon?
Tess: After Jax is eliminated, it's going to
seem like an eternity. Why do I have to wait three weeks to get
out of the country?
Man: Our man in corsica isn't quite ready.
Tess, I don't want you to worry about this,
ok? I'm going to put you in a safe place till you're ready to
go overseas.
Felicia: That was close. I almost lost my grip
on the doorknob.
V: "Almost" doesn't count.
Felicia: no, but it can scare you half to death.
Where did you get that accent?
V: Oh, Grandma Ardanowski. And it worked, too.
I've got really good news, felicia.
Felicia: I'll believe it when I hear it.
V: He was asking Tess if she could be ready
in three weeks.
Felicia: That's a lot more time than I thought
we had.
V: Yeah, three weeks. A lifetime.
Felicia and v: Mac!
Mac: Man, you just took 10 years off my life.
V: And added at least that to jax's.
Mac: You got something?
V: Mm-hmm.
Felicia: Tess' timetable.
Mac: So when's it going down?
V: Three weeks.
Mac: Weeks?
V: Yeah, heard it straight from the customer's
mouth.
Mac: Nice, leisurely assassination, huh? Good. We could all use a little less excitement for a while.
