LAST V. SIGHTING!

Note: While all this is happening, Brenda is not thinking of Jax wistfully, she is thinking about Sonny. I actually enjoy these scenes.

V. Hi. Hey where's Miss Barrett?

J: She decided to spend the night in her new home (yippee) Well, I fought it as hard as I could

V: Well, Does she have any furniture?

J: A couch. She'll be fine, she has her cell phone. If she needs me she'll call. Right?

V: Yeah.

J: So, hows the, how are you doing with your research there?

V: Well, I did make a dent.

J: Anything interesting?

V: Well this was not a simple corporate takeover. ELQ lost it's holdings in Jacarda due to some pretty powerful force that went after it.

J: A conglomerate?

V: More like an evil force of nature. I know I've been reading too many Steven King novels

J: No. Ned Ashton had exactly the same feeling. Did you find out how long that Olympia initiatives inc. had been in business?

V: 10 years. As a matter of fact, today is their anniversery (V. did you have to say anniversary!! now he's going to talk about you know who again.)

J: There's a coincidence. Today's an anniversery of mine.

V: Of What

J: One of the most incredible days of my life.

Next Scene.

J: Her name's Miranda. We met when we were young, fell in love, and got married on a beach. Then six weeks later she died in a freak explosion.

V: Or so you thought.

J: Right. As Brenda and I were about to be married, in walks Miranda like a ghost from the past.

V: What did you do?

J: Well, I ran to her. I mean she was my first love. Seeing her again was a huge shock
                         Just a tiny bit closer

V: And Brenda?

J: I couldn't marry her that day. I had to learn the truth about Miranda. I mean Brenda tried to be understanding, but I could tell that she felt abandoned.

V: Did Miranda know that she was interrupting your wedding?

J: Oh, no no no, but the person who brought her to Port Charles certainly did.

V: Who was that?

J: Sonny Corinthos.

V: What?

J: Yep. He used Miranda to stop me from marrying Brenda. Then what does he do? He turns around and abandons her himself.

V: Well, as if once wasn't bad enough. Imagine suiting up for two weddings and still not being married? It's like we used to say in the sheriffs department. That's a tough ticket to eat.

J: Yeah. Tonight must be rough for her. I mean, if things had turned out differently for her, this could have been our first anniversary.

V: She never mentioned it?

J: No, but I'm sure she remembered. Maybe I should call her. Or maybe I should just trust that she'll be OK.

V: I uh, I better get going.

J: Night V. . I'll see you in the morning.
Wow. Actual physical contact, actually I think she's
showing great restraint.

V: If she needs you Jax, she'll call you. OK

J.. Goodnight

V: Goodnight.
I can tell she's hurt by all the Brenda talk, can't you?
