Hi! My name is Liz.
I am a tirdy tree yr old New Yawka. I enjoy doodling.

Its abstract art and its funky lookin, but hey, it relaxes me and has no side effects like Prozac does LOL. I spend most of my day listening to Barney or some other Disney song like product, but when I have a minute, I enjoy 80s music. Especially classic rock. I HATE REALITY TV, and I'm a news whore who enjoys watching any 24 hr news network (especially FoxNews) Okay thats enough about me!

I am married with three children, two with special needs.
Needless to say I am a very busy woman!

My husband is named Andrea (PRONOUNCED ANDRE).

From left to right Vinnie, Julianna, and Maria...

New Picture(s) coming soon, I promise! Really we mean it this time!

Maria

Maria is 8 years old and is in the 3rd grade. She has alot on her plate and i feel very sorry for her. She has more responsibilities than the average 8 year old because of her brother and sisters' special needs.

She is just like her mother and she really loves attention. Speakin of 'attention'...she was recently diganosed as having ADHD. She loves to draw and her favorite thing to do is to play on her playstation. Her brother and sister dont really play with her much...but when mommy has some time..i like to take that time to have 'mommy and maria' time. She loves it. Her favorite show on TV is Spongebob Squarepants (and quite honestly, her mommy loves that show too! He's so cute!!) ...and right now her favorite song is 'A Moment Like This' By the NEW American Idol Kelly Clarkson! She dances and pretends that she is an American Idol. (hey, ya never know, she just may be one day!) She loves going to grandma's house because she lets Maria have ice cream for breakfast. She also has a cat named 'pusspuss' who is Maria's cat..but lives at grandma's house.

To make a long story even l o n g e r ..because I am telling it..Maria is very precious to me..i call her my big girl helper because even at her age..she helps me alot around here....and I love her very much!

Vinnie

Vinnie is my 'little man'. He is 7 and he has Autism. You can also click on the Autism link to know more about this. He keeps me on my toes all day! He wakes up very early in the morning. He goes to school full day. His favorite thing to do is to just run around and make messes. He has this favorite thing he never lets go of. Its his doll from Toy Story. Woody. He never puts it down..except to shower or when he's in school. He s got a great facination with straws and strings too.

He loves all of the disney movies. But mostly prefers to be by himself in his own little world. He loves piggy back rides. But as i said before..his best trait is to get into absolutely everything! He's taking new strides and learning new things. He recently learned how to nod 'yes' or 'no' and also point to a 'yes and no' board we have at home. It really helps in communicating with him. Lots of ppl take lil things for granted. For example, He also recently learned how to eat foods with a fork, and even use his napkin to wipe his hands..instead of using his hair LOL. I WISH I was kidding!

Vinnie attends a very wonderful school, I absolutely love the staff there. Vinnie has come a long way since beginning that school.

Julianna

Julianna is 5 and a half and she has Rett Syndrome. Click on the link about Rett Syndrome if ya wanna know more about it. A day with Julianna is like this: She wakes up..usually in a great mood. Her favorite breakfast is cereal. She does not feed herself because she has no control over her hand and arm movements. She goes to school for a full day and receives tons of different therapies which seem to be helping a little. Rett Syndrome cannot be stopped..but with therapy..it could help her..its all we got :o)...

Julianna is non verbal but talks very well with her eyes. She walks..but with a very unsteady gait. She has a helmet that she wears to protect that cute little head of hers just in case she falls. She also wears orthotics on her feet to help her out. In Feb of 2000 she was diagnosed with Epilepsy. To control her seizures, she takes Phenobarbitol daily. Her favorite Videos are Toy Story and anything Barney. Shes loves video's that have lots of music in them. She loves music and loves it when mommy sings to her..even tho my singing voice isnt that great!!!! She doesnt play with toys because of her hands..but loves it when mommy plays 'itsy bitsy spider' and 'wheels on the bus' with her. Her favorite song in the world is "If all the raindrops" which is featured in Barney. She giggles when it is sung to her.

Julianna loves her school, the staff is wonderful there. Everyone is always filled with smiles. ANd she comes home so happy and smelling like perfume (that tells me that she's been hugged sometime during the day) LOL

Personal Note From Mary Freakn Sunshine

Well thats a day in the life of me..Its even hard to take the kids outside because i dont have much help with the kids.. And its so hard running after vinnie and watching closely at julianna cuz she falls so much...but I love my kids dearly :o)

Because of my children's special needs, Its hard to get out and meet people. But now that I have been online, I have met so many wonderful friends. They have been so supportive of me when it seemed that it couldnt get any worse..and I thank them all for being there for me.

There are 2 people in particular who have come close to my heart with their friendship.

Alice~The wind beneath my wings..I love her. I met her online in 1998 and we've been best friends ever since. She listens, gives advice when I need it and even when I dont ask for it. Thats what best friends are for. I got the grace of meeting her family and they are all so wonderful. God Bless them.
Christine~I never thought in a million years that I would find someone in life that shared the same disgusting sick humor as I do. Lets put it this way, If i asked her to pull my finger, she'd do it in a heartbeat. We have alot in common and I am so glad that she is in my life. I love her so much (even tho she is a stinky butt)
