I am researching my 3rd great grandparents, Elizabeth BURD married to Henry FOLK. They reportedly died in Branch Co., Michigan and were buried there in 1858. They came from either Westmoreland Co., Penn or Perry Co. Penn. Elizabeth (BURD) FOLK and Henry FOLK had about 10 children. Not sure if any children followed them to Michigan. Elizabeth (BURD) FOLK's father was an Edward BURD and his father a Mathias ? BURD, probably of Pennsylvania or Scotland.

I have notes saying Elizabeth (BURD) FOLK and Henry FOLK were both born in Westmoreland Co., Penn., and that they died in Branch Co., Michigan and are buried at a Kandeshook (Kinderhook) Cemetery. I also have a note saying Henry FOLK died in Kinderhook? And Elizabeth (BURD) FOLK died in Ovid Twp.

All my data is from 1900-1912 letters, so spellings and legibility are of question. Kandeshook Cemetery may be Kinderhook, etc.

On the FOLK name, I have seen descendants write their name FOULK and possibly FOLKS. Maybe those names are worth a shot.

Any information, death certificates, burial or tombstone information, census, etc. would be appreciated. I am glad to pay for hard copy shipping, document processing, or whatever.

Thanks for your efforts. Tracey Fleming-Reese 2012 Deerfield St. Bakersfield, CA 93312
