Etara is an ethnographical museum where there
are buildings and workshops from the times of the
Bulgarian revival. You can see with your own eyes how the descendents of the old masters
make woolen braidings, knives, earthenware and other handicraft wares. The atmosphere from
the last century reigns there.
Bojentsi - most of the houses here are built
during the last century and are ramarkable for their originality and their style,
characteristic of the times of the Bulgarian national revival. They are two-storied, with
stone roofs, verandas and gates with rich wood-carving. The place is now announced to be
an architectural reserve.
Kalofer is a small, picturescue town, situated
on the two banks of the Tundja river. It was a handicraft town in the past. Now it is a
mountain resort. There are many holiday houses and huts in the environs of the town.
Kalofer is the birthplace of the great bulgarian poet Hristo Botev.
