  I've been using my real first name (Joyce) since I found out I had it--when I applied to college and saw my birth certificate! I was so happy to get rid of Reggie!!!! I retired 2/1/02 from position as creative director for Anthem East (BC and BS plans in a number of states) after 14 years there managing corporate communications (advertising, internal and exernal pr, marketing comms). Before that did 5-6 years in each position, all comms-related. Started out as editor in scholarly, then trade publishing; then researcher at a think tank, then directed comms for two non-profit institutes; one in DC. Just before Anthem was a consultant to IBM in corp. comm. for 6 years. Personal: remarried this April; divorced in the 70s. In between engaged twice but just couldn't bring myself to that next step! Traveled a lot for career; travel is my number one hobby, with a very sedentary one number 2: reading, no. 3 walking. Love spending time with great nieces and great-nephews; no kids myself. (I lost my son in a car accident just before his second birthday.) Most recently resuming consulting on a limited basis so I can pursue travel, etc. Well...I don't think this gives the sense of how I've lived my life, which basically has been as a great adventure!

  I have been living in GA for the last 18 years, married for 35 years and have 2 children and 1 granddaughter. Left New York in 1977 and moved to Miami where I taught school. Peter transferred to Atlanta where we have been since 1983. I work part time for American Greetings and Peter is national sales manager for a major lighting residential fixture company. I do not cook,we eat out everynight,our stove is a planter and everyone gets a kick out of that but it is the truth. I am extremely happy doing next to nothing but reading and eating. I have a dog named Sasha who rules our home and she is an adopted rescue dog.

  Taken from the Copake newspaper: "Carol Anne Geer, 57, died on Saturday, November 23, at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson. She was born on May 31, 1945, in New York City, the daughter of William and Caroline (Wade) Geer Sr. She was raised in Ardsley, and was a graduate of Ardsley High School. She has been a long-time Copake and Ancram area resident. She was a communicant of St. John in the Wilderness Church and enjoyed animals, flowers, family and friends. Survivors include her companion Charles Hogan of Brooklyn; brothers William Geer, Jr.of Puntagorda, Florida and Peter Geer of Chesterfield, Missouri; daughter Heidi Scerra of Bristol, Connecticut; sons Damon Martineau of Salvay, New York and John Dahlin of Ancram; four grandchildren Kara Hight, Lauren Scerra and Maya and Hannah Martineau; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. John in the Wilderness with the Rev. Barbara Morgan officiating. Contributions may be made to the Church of St. John in the Wilderness, 261 Rt. 344, Copake 12516, the Columbia-Greene Humane Society, or the Sarcoid Foundation.   From Cape Cod Times Obituaries, November 14, 1997: ORLEANS - Donald C. Geyer, 52, a contract painter, died Saturday at Cranberry Pointe Nursing Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center. Born on Long Island, N.Y., Mr. Geyer graduated from Ardsley High School. He lived in Westchester County, N.Y., and Pocono Pines, Pa., for most of his life before moving to Orleans in 1988. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of Greenville Community Church in Scarsdale, N.Y. Mr. Geyer was a contract painter throughout his career. Surviving are his mother, Alberta Geyer of Orleans; two sisters, Susan Reilly Flynn of Wellfleet and Janet Lindahl of Orleans; and three nieces and a nephew. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Nov. 22 in Kenisco Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 W. Chestnut St., Suite 301, Brockton, MA 02401.

  Married almost 32 years (June) to a fantastic woman I met in college. Jane is a farm girl from the mountains of Virginia and a genius with animals (and everything else). Two children: Rachel (26) getting a second degree in Theater/Drama. Wants to use drama to teach young children about morals, ethics and getting along. David (22 in July) lettered in swimming at UNC and is now traveling the world. Right now he's in Fiji/Tahiti/Tonga area. Don't expect him home until next year at the earliest. After trying (and, I guess, succeeding to a degree) the business world I'm now semi-retired but looking for something to do other than fishing and going to the beach. Whatever it is it won't involve a suit and tie! We send our very best to all our classmates who have "surfaced" and look forward to a reunion.

  My wife Rita and I were married in 1968. We have one daughter, Emily, who is a veterinarian living in New Hampshire, and I've been a grandpa since 8/26/02. My wife and I are in heaven ... she's great! What a thrill. I've been president of our family business in Elmsford, NY since 1994. My own hobbies are ham radio, computers, and foreign languages. Rita and I enjoy power boating, saltwater fishing, hiking and bird watching together. We've had a cottage on Nantucket since years ago when normal people could afford to buy them! (No longer...)

  In 1965 I left Dobbs Ferry and worked as a volunteer worker at the World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses in Brooklyn, NY for 12 years. In 1973 I married Linda Zullo and in 1977 we moved to Loudon, NH. Worked construction before starting my own wallpapering and painting business. We have two children, Lori and Christine. My oldest daughter is now married and is teaching piano; my younger daughter is an office manager for a large cleaning business. I am also a minister in one of the local congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses in Concord. It has been a very busy 38 years and hard to believe that much time has gone by. We certainly have come to love New Hampshire and live only 1 1/2 hours from the White mountains, a little over an hour from Vermont and the ocean (Maine), and about 1 1/2 hours from Boston; so there is a lot to do up here. We do have to endure a long and cold winter, but Christine who loves snow boarding, has no complaints.

  In 1968, I married Sharon Kenner – Ardsley class of ’64. I graduated from Brandeis and began working for First Market Research, a marketing research company in Boston in the late 60’s. For many years, we lived in Newtonville Massachusetts, where our two boys, Max and Jesse were born in the 1970’s. In 1989, we moved to Austin, TX and I opened a First Market Research office to deal with many clients that I had developed in the Southwest which extended until early 2002 when I retired. Sharon continues to work as a speech therapist, working with elementary age children in the local public school as she had back in the Boston area before our move. Our older son, Max, recently got his PhD from University of California San Francisco in Cell Biology. He begins his Post Doctoral work at Rockefeller University in NY City in November 2002 and is engaged, planning to wed in the spring of 2003. Jesse is trying to become rich and famous in Hollywood, appearing in bit parts, commercials and as an extra on TV and in movies such as American Pie 2, Spiderman, and Austin Powers Goldmember.

Since 1991, Carol and I have owned and operated a Bed and Breakfast on Chincoteague Island, VA, the Island of the Wild Ponies.   I am a general internist (Tufts University, Tufts Medical School) in Austin, TX at a large multispecialty group. I have been married for almost 32 years and have two girls and a boy. Our older daughter teaches second grade in Massachusetts, our son is at Yale Law School and our younger daughter is premed at Brown in Providence. My wife teaches eighth grade English. I moved from the northeast to Austin 20 years ago to escape the awful northern weather and have no regrets whatsoever. I touch the piano on rare occasions and like to sail on a nearby lake. In addition to my career in medicine I am active on the board of directors of a medical malpractice insurance company located in Austin.   After high school attended Iona in the evening and then off to Vietnam for 2 years; returned and went back to school. Worked at IBM for the past 34 years and as a financial manager for almost 25 of those years. I've been married for 24 years and have 2 children. My son Nick is out on his own and my daughter is in her 2nd year of college. We've bounced around the States with IBM and worked in CA, NY, FL and also spent time in Chicago and Lexington, Kentucky. We're currently living in upstate NY in a town called Vestal which is next to Binghamton, and plan on working for about 2 to 3 more years before pursuing something different and retirement.

  After graduation from Tufts University in 1967, I started working for Arkansas Power & Light Co. (now "Entergy Corp.") in southern Arkansas. We moved to Little Rock in 1978 doing nuclear support, then in 1988 I switched to Information Technology, which I'm still doing today . I first married in 1969; that ended in a not really pleasant divorce in 1997, but I have excellent relations with my three girls, ages 27, 20 & 20 (yes, twins). I remarried on 3/30/02, and Carole and I are still very happy newlyweds I now have a married step-daughter (age 28), a married step-son (age 30), and especially a 3 year old step-grandson.   I have been teaching for the past 35 years; first in NYC, then moved to CA in 1977 and wrote for a math publisher and invented some games. Also taught part time at some of the local community colleges. Then went back in 1983 to teach at White Plains HS for 3 years, then back again to CA (Salinas...about 60 miles south of San Jose) where I have been teaching at Hartnell Community College for the past 16 years. I opened up a baseball card store in 1990. It was a hobby that became a business and is doing pretty well (it really helps supplement my teaching income). Will not be able to retire for another 9 years. I have been married to Vita for 22 years and have 2 sons. Kevin is 21 and goes to SF State Univ and 14-year old Chris goes to the local Catholic HS and is in the 9th grade. I am a very lucky man ... I have two jobs that I love and a great family. I couldn't ask for anything more.

  I moved to California in 1969 with my ex-husband. Got divorced in 1971 and remarried in 1976. I live in Camarillo, California - an hour south of Santa Barbara, very pretty area. I love living here, the people are great and the weather is fantastic, not too hot and never too cold. I am working as an administrative assistant for a health care district, my husband works in the title industry and we have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. We are very much into our family; our grandchildren are the apples of our eyes, we can't get enough of them. I've been able to keep in touch with Reggie Carlyle (Joyce Derian); we talk every now and then.

  I attended and graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. in nursing. I began my nursing career at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx where I worked in a neurosurgical ICU for 3yrs. Next I moved on to Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan and have been employed there ever since. I still love my job despite the shortage of nurses. I lived in Manhattan for several years while single and managed to travel a lot especially to Europe. In 1976 I married Nelson Reyes and in 1979 we had a beautiful daughter. Though Nelson and I have been divorced for several years we have remained friends. Our daughter Aimee is finishing college. She is a graphic design major and fine arts minor. I live in the home where I grew up! Yeah, the one right next to AHS! I am so glad I ran into Joann Esposito Hogan who told me about the reunion plans!

After Ardsley, I went to Alfred U for 4 years, then spent 5 years in the Army (Thailand and Vietnam). Worked in NY for Procter & Gamble for 2 years, was a manufacturers rep for 4 years (leather from Yugoslavia and the US), 12 years at Citicorp, 8 years on my own and joined Morgan Stanley almost 5 years ago.

She is 27 yrs old, not married yet but dating. I retired in Dec. of last year after working for the same company for 35 yrs.

  Her life changed dramatically when in Jan 2000 she was diagnosed with a pancreatic tumor. Linda was a survivor from one of the worst diagnosis anyone could have until she lost her battle in June 2004.

  After graduating from Brandeis University in 1967, my life has taken a number of twists and turns - a dose of graduate school, a lot of travelling, working as a New York City cab driver and rank and file labor organizer, as a free-lance writer and editor, as administrator of a Latin American cultural center, and, for the past 12 years, as a teacher and educational administrator. I'm currently director of an adult education program at Lehman College in the Bronx as well as a GED teacher. Last July (1999) I married a wonderful woman (Peggy) and also became step-father of two great kids - Julia (11) and Jory (8). We live in Brooklyn, New York.
