Note: Office is open from Monday - Friday from 0700 - 1600 hours. After hours and on week-ends
there is an after hours sign in located at the front door of the office. I live near the office
in site 5 and I normally am there and will sign you in anytime, week-ends included. Also we do
not accept Golden Age or any other discount programs, except SMART. We are members of
SMART. We normally have spaces for overnighters. We have 4 overflow sites that have water
and electric and have plenty of space for anyone that needs to dry camp. We are in the process
of increasing the Campground by building 12 new sites. They will be full hook-up sites. Not
sure when they will be completed, but hopefull before next summer. We have a laundry room,
which has 2 washers and 2 dryers and a bathhouse with showers. We have a beautiful
location. Have 2 lakes at the Campground with fishing allowed for the campground residents.
No license or permit required while staying in the campground. Not much shade on the sites
so they are sunny, each full hook-up site has a covered patio with table. There is also a
Bar-b-que grill at each site. Over flow sites have a table a Bar-b-que grill available.
Member Input: I was at the Fam camp at Maxwell AFB, Al. and was warned about space
availability unless I was there for a school, then I could "live" there
indefinite. From Donald Turner. 02 Mar 1998
