Directions: On post.  Thirty miles north of Detroit, MI.  Take I-94 to M-59 
then go east to Jefferson turn right to enter the base.  Family camp ground 
is on your left as you enter base and can be seen from the gate.

Description of Area: Location in southeast Michigan on the shores of Lake St. Claire. Easily accessible to major highways and recreational areas. The base consists of all five branches of the service.

Restrictions: Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a leash at all times. DO NOT LEAVE PETS UNATTENDED. All pet droppings in the vicinity of or the RV/Camping Site WILL BE picked up by the owner. Noisy of vicious pets will be ejected from SANGB Fam Camp.

Support Facilities: Boats, Picnic Areas, Restrooms, Boat Launch, Commissary, Med. Clinic, PX/BX, Fitness Center, Bowling, Auto Shop, Golf, Swimming Pools, Class Six, Youth Center, Air Museum.

Note: Golf course is 18 holes w/new club house and is in excellent condition only one year old.

Member input: The sites are nice and level and able to handle big rigs. The problems are that the dump site is on the other side of the base at the current time with no get well date on this one. The other is that they only put 20 amp power in for some reason.

This campground was officially opened on 5 June 2000. It will be named the Selfridge Five Flags Campground. Come and see Michigan and enjoy.
