We stayed at the Ellsworth AFB Fam Camp, June 1997. 24 full hookup sites w/30 amps power. $14.00 a night. There was a laundry room and pay phone available. Close to BX and Commissary. There is an overflow area that has electric for $10.00 a night. You would have to come to the regular camp to dump and get water. There was a Host on site. Registration during the weekend was on the honor system. Envelopes are provided and fees and completed registration are placed in a secure deposit metal container. The host does not register you nor take money.
Thanks to Sherwood J Kok for this info.
W/S/E hookups are 15.00/day
Use Patriot Gate (used to be School Gate). Camp host showed us vacant pads. After choosing our
site we went to Outdoor Recreation office to sign in and pay. Outdoor Rec provides a number of
off base activities such as providing a base van and driver (for about $10) that picked up
FamCampers at the FamCamp, took us to Mt. Rushmore for the night lighting of the faces, the
pre-lighting movie and talks by the Ranger. Great not to have to drive and get hung up in HEAVY
traffic and parking.
