This was my seventh convergence. First visit to San Diego. So many handsome chubby guys at this event.
The plan was still the same. A driving trip. But to where this time. After some careful consideration we had come up with something we could live with. Fly into Salt Lake City and drive south.
Well here goes. We flew from Toronto into Salt Lake City. Spent the day visiting the Mormon Tabernacle and even had time to sit through a recital. What a big organ!!! He he.
We left there heading south. Destination the Grand Canyon. North Rim was the place we stopped at for several hours taking in the grandeur of this spectacular place. From there it was on to Las Vegas for some sightseeing and a bit of gambling.
After we left Las Vegas we drove directly on to San Diego and convergence. With convergence over we headed to West Hollywood in Los Angeles. As luck would have it we managed to get back stage ticket to a taping of the then comedy 'Ellen' we also toured the CBS Studios and visited the set of the 'Tonight Show'.
