Local currency in Kazakhstan is Tenge. It is widely and easily exchanged to Russian roubles, US dollars and German Marks in a large network of currency exchange kiosks. In some kiosks one can also exchange tenge to Kyrghyz soms and Uzbek soms. A good information on exchange rates between tenge and a number of foreign currencies is provided by OANDA.
