SULPHER-BELLIED FLYCATCHER
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
A SULPHER-BELLIED FLYCATCHER was seen this afternoon and was still present at 5 P.M. at A. D. Barnes Park in South Miami. To reach the park, go to SW 40th Street and SW 72nd Ave and drive north on 72nd to the park entrance on the right. Park at the baseball fields and walk through the gate next to the building. (The door of the building has wading bird pictures on it.) Take the paved path to the left and go about 200 yards to the pond with a waterfall. The bird was feeding on berries of Virginia Creeper vines in the pine trees behind the pond. To get a better view of the pine trees, go around the pond to the left to a bench and look back toward the pines. Also present today was a male Canada Warbler and 8 other warbler species.
