Born on the 1st September, 1955 (the first day of our spring) in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Raised for the first years of my life on a farm near Ashburton...then at the age of 7 we moved into town to Tinwald...where I lived until nearly 22 years old...some might say I was a bit of a ratbag as a kid...others might say the lad was just high-spirited...
Fortunately my dad loves to fish so he took me out at an early age and taught me what it was about...regretably I had to bike across the river every day to go to school...a big distraction when the water was right...seems the river won a lot...spent the early years of my working life driving trucks, chasing women, but mostly just fishing for trout and salmon whenever I got the opportunity...and then there was rugby...rugby is something lunatics play to kerb their aggressive streaks...or give them a place to unleash it...it's also played in the winter when there is no fishing!..
Then it was time to leave the nest and in 1977 I left for Sydney...just for a four month holiday mind you...there was a girl waiting at home...but I sorta never made it back ...except for holidays...and the odd family function...and during fishing season sometimes...
Moved to Mackay in Queensland for a while...then back to Sydney again...and then I went and got married!....started a career as a finance company executive...and moved to Melbourne so my wife could be near her family...and then she left me!...can you believe that?...but then i met Maree...she's been looking after me ever since...over 11 years now...we have finally decided to get married this year...in 1991 things turned around after I was lucky enough to get a retrenchment package and so
...(which had been a hobby for years)...was born...and continues to keep me very occupied...
So as you can see I like to fish...its my hobby and my business...I can tell you there are very few days I don't want to go to work...and I get to travel to some great locations as well...where ever the fishing is hot that's where I like to be...and I get to meet some great people to fish with...some charter operators and clients as well...
Computers also are a passion of mine and I have another business...

which keeps me busy as well...training in MS products...writing and maintaining databases... and then there is the Net...somewhere for me to go and play...and learn...a sure way to lose days and nights...and in cyberspace they can here you scream...in both frustration and ecstasy...
Fantasy and role playing are great ways to relax...and in cyberspace there is no limit to your imagination...and that I like...no boundaries...no restrictions...for in here there is only that which you wish to find...no more, no less...
