KIDS AWAY FOR SUMMER
The Shuman household is quite quiet these days. All three of the Shuman kids are away from home. Erez
was the first to leave - he is at Noam Camp near Tiberias for three weeks. Merav left on July 24th for her first-ever trip to the States. She is currently a
camper at Camp Tel Yehuda, in Barryville, New York, the same camp where Jodie was a camper over twenty-five years ago. Raute will be
travelling to the States on August 14th, and she will join up with Merav. The two girls will have a chance to do some sightseeing in
New York City, Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Buffalo, and will be spending time with family as well. Meanwhile, Raute is now a
counselor at Noam Camp, so Jodie and Ellis have the house to themselves.
ELLIS'S SECOND INTERNET JOB
Shortly after Ellis went online with his Israeli Culture site, a second
Internet-related job opportunity came his way. Ellis now writes a monthly column for a new Israeli Internet magazine, called MagNet. Ellis's column,
written in Hebrew, deals with "Selected Israeli Sites", and is more of a guide to those sites, than an actual column. Unfortunately, Ellis is not allowed to give a
listing for his own site. With the door to publishing articles now open, Ellis has also submitted a second article to be considered for publication. More on this - in
the future.
