Hi! My name is Billy Dedek. I'm someone who has found an interest with computers since age 11. I come from a small town in the Texas Panhandle called, Plainview. I graduated from Plainview High School in 1988 and then attended West Texas State University (now WTA&M), where I majored in Computer Information Systems. In 1992 I graduated with honors and received my Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Shortly thereafter, I moved to Amarillo, Texas and went to work as a programmer for a local employer. Two years later, I decided to pursue my interests in the field of Local Area Networks and became a LAN administrator/Support Technician for approximately 300+ users. In March of 1997, I decided to see what other job opportunities were available in the Amarillo area. I joined up with MicroAge of Amarillo. After getting my CNE I wanted to use my talent to help a single company. In September of 1998, I became the Hospital Director of Information systems at a wonderful local surgical hospital, Panhandle Surgical Hospital. On September 1, 1999, Baptist St. Anthonys Health Systems acquired Panhandle Surgical and we became BSA Panhandle Surgery. I moved to the main campus where I was a Network Engineer. In December, I had a chance to go to work for Maxor National Pharmacy Services. I have begun working with a great bunch of people on a lot of cool technology.
A while ago, I discovered something that has kept me busy for many hours...THE INTERNET. I have recently changed my Internet service to Cox Internet, where I now have a cable modem. Wow, its great, I highly recommend picking one up.
I have moved my Home Page to its new domain and am trying to get things working again. So here I am. Working my way through the world of HTML, Webpages and Java Applets.
Some of my hobbies include computers (of course), golf, water skiing, personal watercraft and just going to the lake... (see photos below)
