EXPERIENCE              Amarillo, TX (Sept. 1998 - Present.)  Manage and coordinate all aspects
                        of the information systems needs of a small surgical hospital.  Helped
                        to manage, install and support Meditech, an enterprise health care  
                        software suite.  Installed, maintained and supported all computer 
                        systems, including an IntraNetware 4.11 LAN and its connectivity 
                        with a corporate WAN infrastructure.  Served as Co-Facility 
                        Coordinator with the CFO, for identification and resolution
                        of y2k related hospital issues.

        		NETWORK SYSTEMS ENGINEER - MicroAge Corporation, Amarillo, TX
        		(Mar. 1997 - Sept. 1998.)  Perform Network installations, configuration, and
			support using Novell IntranetWare 4.11 and Windows NT 4.0.  Work 
			involved some experience with CISCO routers and other LAN/WAN
			technology.

			SR. INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST - Mason & Hanger-
			Silas Mason Co., Inc. (Oct. 1994 - Mar. 1997.)  Perform administration
			and PC 	support	for approximately 300 end users on a Novell 4.1
			network utilizing both token ring and Ethernet technologies.
			User base consists of the Human Resources department, Training
			department, and the General Manager's office.  Duties include
			installation and troubleshooting of hardware and software using
			proven methods and tools, as well as user instruction with various
			applications such as: WordPerfect, Lotus 123, dBASE III+ and 
			dBASE IV, Lotus Freelance, Harvard Graphics, Novell GroupWise,
			Microsoft Project, and Restrac.  In depth experience with the
			installation and maintenance of several workstation platforms 
			including DOS, OS/2 and Windows 3.1, in a Novell 3.x and
			4.x environment.  Projects include co-leadership of the installation 
			and maintenance of a new integration and automation system for 
			the Human Resources department, and primary support for the 
			PLATO learning software used in the training department.  Heavily
			involved with the planning and testing of hardware and software in
			preparation for corporate wide rollout of Windows 95.

			EDP PROGRAMMER/ANALYST - Mason & Hanger-Silas Mason Co., Inc. (May 
			1992 - Oct. 1994.)  Performed the necessary tasks needed to 
			analyze and develop various software applications, using proven
			life cycle processes and programming techniques, for on-site 
			customers.  Experience was obtained using batch COBOL, CA-ADS Online,
			batch COBOL with CA-IDMS extensions, and some embedded SQL.  COBOL 
			development was done on an IBM mainframe under the PDF/TSO environment.
			PC languages included Clipper and dBASE III+. Other languages, with
			limited exposure include, C and ENFIN (small talk).  Projects ranged
			from program fixes, to extensive system re-engineering.
	
			CONTRACT PROGRAMMER/CONSULTANT - West Texas State University, Job
 			Placement Services (March 1993, Sept. 1993.)  Performed contract
			programming, using Clipper, to design and develop a new system for 
			recording and maintaining campus building reservations, for student 
			activities.

			NETWORK SUPERVISOR and LAB ASSISTANT/TUTOR - West Texas State 
			University, Dept. of Computer Information Systems (Jan. 1989 - May 1992.) 
			Assisted in the operation of the university midrange system (PRIME 9955)
			and its use in student programming (PASCAL, COBOL, and C.)  Appointed
			by the CIS department leader to research and implement a complete Novell
			network suitable for use in classroom instruction.  Obtained considerable 
			experience with its use, and became the network administrator.  Also
			assisted faculty with the installation and setup of a faculty wide
			network.  Helped train and tutor students and faculty with software
			located on these networks.  Later hired as a consultant to setup an
			additional student computer lab network using Novell 3.11.

			PRE-PROFESSIONAL TRAINEE - Mason & Hanger-Silas Mason Co., Inc. (June 
			1990 - Aug. 1990, June 1991 - Aug. 1991) Two summer internships
			programming various PC projects in dBASE III+ and Clipper.  Other 
			activities involved several programming tasks using batch COBOL 
			in an IBM mainframe environment.

			DATABASE MANAGER/PROGRAMMER - Plainview/Hale County Industrial 
			Foundation (June 1989 - Aug. 1989.) Designed and implemented a
			complete billing system/foundation membership database on an IBM 
			PS/2 system.  Created a large database of business contacts for the
			president of the firm.  Other activities included assisting in a fund
			raising event and other general office tasks.

ACTIVITIES &		Hold current Novell CNA and CNE technical certifications.
RECOGNITIONS            Member of several honorary organizations while attending college.  Phi
        		Eta Sigma - 1989, vice president (1990) and treasurer (1991) of Epsilon
			Delta Pi, and member Alpha Chi (National Collegiate Honor Society.) 
			Received "Outstanding CIS Graduate" award for academic excellence 
			upon graduation.  Graduated with Cum Laude honors from West Texas
			State University in May 1992. 

INTERESTS &		Enjoy water sports and other outdoor activities, including Jet Skiing,
PERSONAL GOALS		Golf and fishing.  Personal goals include MCSE certification, 
			and increased knowledge of the Internet and its use in E-Commerce.
