BEQUIA

Of fire, water, heaven and earth was born,
The Grenadine isle of Bequia.
The sea frothed and boiled giving birth,
As the heavens were rent and torn,
Together they brought into the world that day
A child of heaven and earth.

Spirits soaring like sea gulls,
Roots plunging deep,
This is my native way,
I give freedom that's truly legal,
I am Bequia

Here is heavenly paradise,
In the midst of the plural country;
St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
There are lofty trees and magnificent skies,
Friendly people, sunshine, sand and sea,
In the Windward Isles of the Caribbean.
